GAME THREAD: 4/7/21 Minnesota Twins @ Detroit Tigers, 12:10 pm CDT

[USAFChief]

I don't disagree, but he still isn't fast. Sprint speed last year was 26.3. For reference, Ehire was 26.2, and Sano 26.5

Once again, given my sprint speed, "veteran" is an apt description.

[wsnydes]

Simmons was probably gassed, it's been a full day since he had a day off.

A day off five games into the season.

You might be onto something. I don't recall hearing him say that he "was in the best shape of his life" coming into ST either.

[USAFChief]

Pathetic.

[HawksNest]

So Polanco and Garver both look totally lost. Thinking that 2019 was a massive outlier for both. Neither has shown anything to prove otherwise

[bighat]

Crafty lefthander dominating the Twins is nothing new. Neither is former prospects punishing this team for letting them get away. Is Baddoo the next David Ortiz? This isn't a fun game so far.

[wsnydes]

One thing that I do like about this game is the pace.

[MNT1996]

Time for a Buxton Blast

[Brock Beauchamp]

I’ve been out of the house, catching up on the game...

Oh, the Twins must be losing by six runs.

Or... it’s a 1-0 game in the fourth inning.

These game threads have become ****ing toxic.

[operation mindcrime]

Hopefully we can string some hits together here!

[operation mindcrime]

There we go!!!!!!!!

[wsnydes]

Atta boy, Buck!

[operation mindcrime]

Keep it going good guys!!!!!!!

[operation mindcrime]

Way to advance that runner Sanosie!

[Danchat]

This is the situation Tortuga is made for - get the runner in from 3rd with one out. Don't disappoint me!

I'm not sure why you're so surprised there, Britney

[operation mindcrime]

Nice job Astudillo!!!!!

[bighat]

Attaboy Astudillo.

[USAFChief]

Buxton ties the score.

[TouchEmAllGuy]

Nice work boys! Tied up

[Mill1634]

Willians...the perfect hitter for a runner on third and <2 outs. Atta boy

[ashbury]

Buxton on second with no outs. Good way to start an inning when trailing by a run. And, he's in to score!

In our defense, it very easily could be worse were it not for a slick fielding pitcher.

[ScrapTheNickname]

Yike, Kirk Gibson just said that Arraez is probably in the top 5 fastest runners. Oh my.

[MNT1996]

Whenever I see Buxton run I'm always holding my breath and praying that he isn't going to injure anything

[Cap'n Piranha]

Buxton ties the score.

You know better than that Chief.  Astudillo got the RBI, therefore Astudillo tied the score, not Buxton.

[wavedog]

Buxton is the man - we need his speed and bat.  Here's to hoping he stays healthy.   Also nice At bat by Astudillo to get the run home.

Does he know Arraez isn't playing today?

[Danchat]

For the handwringing some have had about Astudillo, he's doing everything he's needed to and more. Great bat to have on the bench. Some hitters in this lineup wish they could make contact like he does...

Also nice AB by Sano using the ol' swinging bunt to get Buxton to 3rd
