April 1: Twins defense is going to be great this year! . . . April 6: Polanco SS, Astudillo 3B, Rooker LF, Cave CF

Since my last game thread intro, the Twins have went on a run to win three ballgames in a row, and looking dang good doing so. The starting pitching has been fantastic, and the bats have come around t

"I find it interested that Garlick got the nod on the 26 man roster, but Rooker has been starting over him."   It's probably that they want Rooker to get everyday action, and for Garlick they care les

Bremer dutifully mentions the Tigers' reliever choice turning around the switch-hitting Polanco.

I still miss the AM stylings of Herb Carneal reminding us that Tom Kelly prefers to use relievers to turn around dangerous switch hitters in late-and-close situations, followed by the unmistakable crack of a bat sending a Ron Davis fastball into the 14th row of the left field seats.

Never say never. He's British. They still drive on the wrong side of the road and, instead of just saying something simple like 'And there it is', still say something crazy like "Bob's your uncle!"

I'm not even related to a Bob though....

Not a huge fan of using Rogers here. Would prefer to save our strike out arm for the 10th inning, but I understand you have to get there. Still would like to see Colome here and Rogers in the 10th

I would prefer to have Alcala pitch in the 10th. Colome is not a strikeout pitcher.

Well if there is a 10th inning in this game.

You wouldn't want Colome to strike everyone out and deprive us of the spectacle of his fielding prowess, would you?
