April 1: Twins defense is going to be great this year! . . . April 6: Polanco SS, Astudillo 3B, Rooker LF, Cave CF

Since my last game thread intro, the Twins have went on a run to win three ballgames in a row, and looking dang good doing so. The starting pitching has been fantastic, and the bats have come around t

"I find it interested that Garlick got the nod on the 26 man roster, but Rooker has been starting over him."   It's probably that they want Rooker to get everyday action, and for Garlick they care les

He said Orlando, not Oswaldo.

If Oswaldo had suddenly played his way back into MLB, it would serve me right for giving up on following his career when the Diablos traded him to the Guerreros for a freshly overhauled engine for their team bus.

Stashak is lot looking today today. I'm be warming somebody up...

One thing I find frustrating about Baldelli is how he doesn't pull pitchers in the middle of an inning. If you bring one guy in & he clearly doesn't have it like Stashak today, why the heck do you leave him out there to give up runs instead of bringing in a new reliever?!? He's only required to face 3 batters, not finish the inning. I wonder if Rocco thinks the rule is 3 batters AND finish an inning instead of face 3 batters OR finish an inning...

You gave up?!? Then you missed his .412 OBP in the Venezuelan Winter League this past season!

Astudillo played with him, I can only assume in the capacity as a Twins liaison to lure him back to Minnesota.

Does he get penalized for being online during a game?

Not by MLB, I hope. But Rocco will probably take away his phone on the charter flight, forcing him to play tic tac toe on the seatback entertainment system.

The only winning move is not to play.

I keep checking the Delta inflight game catalog for Theaterwide Biotoxic and Chemical Warfare, but no go so far...

Cruz goes yard again, but at his age I'm still concerned about his diminishing speed on the home run trot...

But you still have to admire the stealthy power he generates that causes greater carry than you'd anticipate when it leaves his bat, thus robbing Bremer of his semi-hysterical calls.
