sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Per wikipedia: During bankruptcy proceedings, Twinkie production was suspended on November 21, 2012, and resumed after an absence of a few months from American store shelves, becoming available again nationwide on July 15, 2013
LA_NorthStar Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 So, uh... is this what Happ is? 90-91 without command? I know he showed up late to camp. Hoping he can add a few MPH to that heater.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Per wikipedia: Well that explains it. The cases of Twinkies I have in my pantry were all bought before 2010. They taste just fine.

wabene Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 On another note...anyone watching the Detroit telecast on MLB Network? The Detroit announcers are possible the dryest, most enthusiasm-free team in the history of televised sport. Morneau is Robin Williams by comparison. I did get a kick out of Jim Price and the Tiger's radio broadcast yesterday.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Watching Happ pitch is sort of like having a dull toothache. Unpleasant, but you sort of just put up with it.I haven't been counting, but Happ doesn't get many swings and misses, but OTOH the contact has been pretty weak. Goodrum hit the ball hard in the third, but Happ was able to pitch around an extra-base hit.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Rooker needs to work on the ole two strike approach
blindeke Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 If Happ only pitches 4-5 innings, who comes in from the pen?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 If Happ only pitches 4-5 innings, who comes in from the pen?I think that’s really dependent on score but I think we see the second tier guys for a couple of innings.

I'm not a big fan of pitchers who can't live in the strike zone. And that's Happ. He needs every pitch to be on the black, and that's difficult to pull off. I'm just weird that way. I hate knuckleballers, too.

blindeke Verified Member Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Why would anyone ever throw Astudillo a first-pitch strike?
