operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 68 pitches to get 11 outs against a team that is 20 for their last 87. I don’t know what to call that that won’t get me bannedTotal system failure!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 it’s ok we won a few ball games before Memorial Day #relevant
Blake Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Is it just me or are Twins pitchers just not attacking the strike zone like they were earlier in the year?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Good thing they’re not letting fans put the names on the uniforms tomorrow.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 That didn't take long. Then a gift from Detroit - but no, "Return To Sender"

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Gift to Gibby from the umpire. Don't give it back.pretty good pitch I thought, definitely too close to take, I don’t mind umpires ringing guys up that are looking for a walk
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 It's strange that I've gotten to the point where I'm looking forward to the Twins going on road trips. Seem to play a lot better there
Blake Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 I think we are witnessing what happens to a team that is not used to playing under pressure. This is a team that was rolling along, had a huge lead, then Cleveland got on the Twins tail and the Twins are crumbling, mentally.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 I said this in a previous game thread and I rarely post. I'm done with Gibson. The Nibbler should be used as a set up man or , well i guess there's nothing else we can do with himIt's nice too see you join the club! \m/
srjr19 Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 What this team really needs is a guy who's gonna lose his sh** in the dugout right now. We are literally watch the season go down in flames before our eyes.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Arraez is not the 2nd baseman of the future. He will give the Twins a .750 OPS at best. Hopefully it's Lewis/Polanco in the future.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 pretty good pitch I thought, definitely too close to take, I don’t mind umpires ringing guys up that are looking for a walkI have some sympathy for that POV. The umpires take it upon themselves to try to encourage fair play. That's probably somewhere in the rules, worded indirectly. But the strike zone is also in the rules, and defined pretty specifically in regard to the knees and so forth.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 WHI THROWS BEHIND THE RUNNER IN A RUN DOWN? ITS THE FIRST RULE Twins using deception to keep their opponents off balance. Jorge throws the ball to Sano at third, who then pops out of the Trojan Rabbit at home and tags the runner by surprise...

This is a team that was rolling along, had a huge lead, then Cleveland got on the Twins tail and the Twins are crumbling, mentally.I remember a while back when we were seemingly cruising to the division title, I posted that it would benefit us to play meaningful games as the season went along to get that playoff experience. Never wanted the lead to drop so precipitously but I thought it would benefit us to sweat a little. Clearly it hasn’t, at all
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Strike 2 to Sano was 4" below his knees. Robo umps now!!
