Game Thread "David" Twins vs. Tigers 6:10pm edt 8/24/2019 ad

Let’s do better in the second half

[Blake]

Holy cow that RISP statistic for the series

Tigers 7-26 RISP

Twins 0-6 RISP

That's pathetic

Both sides of that stat are bad. Wow. Tigers have had 20 more players in scoring position than the Twins so far.

[Riverbrian]

Yeesh, that's right up there with, "Jim Thome digs for second."

Jim Thome... He "Rumbles" for second.

Let’s do better in the second half

Well they can't do much worse

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Halfway mark.

Tigers are up 4-1

[ashbury]

Cave! My new favorite player!

[NorthwestTwinsFan]

Swept? Sheesh, I just left it up to a won/loss scenario. A sweep would be an absolute no from me. Seen it each of the last three times they’ve gone (4 if you count the wild card)

Living near Mariners' fans has made me appreciate just seeing my team reach the playoffs.   I'm not going to take that for granted.

[Blake]

Cabrera stole third?

Gad, that brings back memories of Thome stealing second!

[operation mindcrime]

Wow Jake Cave!

[tvagle]

Hoo'sville 9 are more entertaining tonight

[VATwinsFan]

At least Cave appears to know what's at stake.

[Riverbrian]

Cabrera stole third?

Thome doesn't "steal" second. He slowly sneaks it into his breast pocket.

[mrtwinsfan]

ya cron dont swing at a meatball then kkk

[NorthwestTwinsFan]

CJ Cron should not play more than once a week.

[operation mindcrime]

Great at bat Crom! Way to advance the runner!

[Aggies7]

Cron, just no.

[ashbury]

Ha, overruled. Gotta answer

Missing the playoffs would put more pressure on the FO to get something done.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Well...

20 more at bats with someone on 2nd or 3rd.

Hairs are meant to be split.

[tvagle]

Unfortunately, this might answer your question....

Was thinking more on the lines of this...

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Wow Jake Cave!

We gonna get us some more RISP at bats!

[operation mindcrime]

There ya go Max!!!!! Way to pick up your teammate!!!!!!

[mrtwinsfan]

and max bails out Cron  nice Maxey

[ashbury]

Kepler! My new favorite player!

[operation mindcrime]

Yeah Polanco!!!!!

[Nine of twelve]

We could use a 3-run shot. Is this batter any good?

[VATwinsFan]

At least Cave appears to know what's at stake.

As apparently does Kepler.

[tvagle]

Keep the line moving:

Cron

Kepler

Polanco now due to tie this thing up

BOOMSTICK??

Still an uphill climb. Cant believe Im saying this but I hope this staff can keep the Tigers offense in check the rest of the way.

Twins Daily is instituting a breathalyzer test sometime before September.

In related news, I'll also be taking a leave of absence for the rest of the season.
