Perez' magic act in Milwaukee was nice, the win was important. But I hope it didn't fool the Twins front office into thinking he's worthy of starting every 5th day. Might be time for some Tampa-style opener games if Perez is involved from now on.

If anyone's interested, I'm doing a Strat-O-Matic Simulation of this game that I'll be posting on my Twins Daily blog later. It's not going well... the Rangers are up 6-0 at the end of the 4th inning - Forsythe hit a 3 run homer off Perez, and I had enough and I pulled him for Thorpe.

I read it on the interweb, so I’m pretty sure it’s true, but I heard that current Ranger Lance Lynn and former Twin Lance Lynn do as well! Obviously MLB doesn’t have anti-nepotism rules.
