sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Catch 22?I can only hope... But alas, see previous post. Unless of course you are referring to a putout in baseball where a foulball dings of the catcher, then something else still in play (a metrodome speaker? umpire?) and the catcher is able to snag that ricochet. But i suppose that would be a 2-2 catch...
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 I don’t think we score any more this inning.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 That Schoop strikeout was the least surprising thing ever haha. Hope Castro can deliver!!!
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Is umpire Ron Kulpa's nickname "Mea"?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 I don’t think we score any more this inning.Nice jinx, stringer. I blame you.
wabene Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Bummer just one but that's a some pitches
HawksNest Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Good to get a run there but really bummed we couldn't capitalize on the bases loaded with 1 out. No guarantee we get that kind of chance again. Hope Bauer doesn't get settled in
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Well, if Maximilian Kepler-Różycki, bombs one every at bat, we should still end up with 4 runs and a chance to win the game.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Now, before the game started, I was considering making a Kepler-Call for this game. It still counts now, right?Run counts, and that's really all that counts anyway. Jinxs and almost-calls are too hard for me to call. But it makes for a fine discussion. I am thinking of callling a Chief joke...
snotboogie Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Ugh. Our BA with RISP has to be pretty miserable. At least at seems that way when I'm watching a game.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 21 pitches and he has to face Kepler next inning
bighat Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Ugh. Our BA with RISP has to be pretty miserable. At least at seems that way when I'm watching a game.Schoop's the worst on the team by a long shot in the "productive out" category, ie getting runners over, sac flies, etc.
Darius Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Baldelli is very Gardenhire-esque with his lineup. Only, instead of some obscure second baseman permanently planted in the 2-hole, is Marwin in the 4-hole and Buxton in th 9-hole.

bighat Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Interesting that Arraez got the nod over Schoop in the 2nd half opener last night. Any explanation for that? At face value it looks like Rocco sending a message that the job's officially open for competition.

Han Joelo Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Did not realize Cave was currently on the roster. But, there he is.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Bases emply ... check. Nobody out ... check. Must be okay to hit a homerun.
wabene Verified Member Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Was bombed when I saw caves name on the lineup card today shows you how much I know
