snotboogie Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Welp jake wants to make it interesting..i got a bad feelingMaybe it's just the gin talking, but I don't have a bad feeling.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Welp. You hit the Mendoza-line-quality leadoff guy, it's already got the makings of a Jake-Melt-Em-Down-Inning. ®
snotboogie Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 So even when the drum guy is not there pounding, fans still clap as if he's there. I like it.
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Welp, so we are bringing in rogers for the 2 inning save right?................
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Great pick-me-up appearance by Harper!
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Harper doing a good job. Excellent showing.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Can we bring Harper back in to start the 7th?
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 The Indians can fail with RISP as well, it seems. And/or, Harper can effectively strand runners with that wicked curve ball.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Need to be adding on here. Still a whole lotta outs for our bullpen to get, without Rogers, too.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 0-2 on Cruz. Incredibly, in 2019 Nelson is hitting .273 after falling behind 0-2. With 5 HR, that gives him a mighty OPS of .952 after that situation. Maybe he should just tell the ump to give him a couple of strikes when he steps up to the plate. Not this time, unfortunately.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Can we bring Harper back in to start the 7th?I consulted the rule book, and surprisingly there is no prohibition on doing so. It pays to check! Sounds like Rocco isn't going to take advantage of this loophole, though.
snotboogie Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Still a whole lotta outs for our bullpen to get, without Rogers, too.In a way, I want to see what a Duffey, May or Littell pitch in these situations. Prove themselves now so we can trust them more later in the season.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Duffey’s always good for a homer or two. Let’s hope it’s not more than that
bighat Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Can we stop with the "hey, Tyler Duffey might be really solid" stuff now? He is who we always thought he is.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 In a way, I want to see what a Duffey, May or Littell pitch in these situations. Prove themselves now so we can trust them more later in the season.Wish granted. Next?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 From the Cleveland broadcast, Michael Cuddyer is the last player to hit five homers against an opposing pitcher in a season, getting John Danks five times. No Cleveland pitcher had ever given up five in a season to a single player.I suppose this happened after Rick Reed was taken deep 6 or 7 times by Jim Thome in 2002 or 2003.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Twins have 72 games left, if they win 40ish, how many innings will Rogers have to pitch to get them there? Dude will be dead by October
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I think that Duffey needs to be the next one shown the door. I get extremely nervous every time he enters a game.
Darius Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 This bullpen sure can make a nice relaxing evening stressful.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I think that Duffey needs to be the next one shown the door. I get extremely nervous every time he enters a game.Front office are u watching, WE NEED HELP!! with the pen
jud6312 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 What's the +/- for runners allowed by Parker tonight?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Kinda burning through relievers pretty quick here. On the presumption that Rogers and May are “ oh, hell no”, that leaves Morin, Magill and Littell (who also pitched yesterday).
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I think that Duffey needs to be the next one shown the door. I get extremely nervous every time he enters a game.He has had more chances than anyone i can think of, He is what he is !!
David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Gawd-- I don't know why Harper didn't come back to start this inning. First we get Tyler "No Mystery" Duffey, then the BPE. I'm shaking as much as Parker is right now.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Be nice to see some base hits Again!!!!!!!
David HK Verified Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 This needs to be Blake Parker's walk-up music. Plus, it's The Blasters, so I always just need some o' that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB2kogSjyQU Cripe, 2 more innings of our BP.... I'm seriously shakin'.
