David HK Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 The boys are hitting some rockets, tho, eh? I think they're gonna eat this two-faced god of a pitcher alive today. Oh, wait, that's Janus, not Junis. Whatever.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Do something to make me look like an idiot, Sano.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Martin Perez's Chariot seems to have turned back into pumpkins?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Watching that inning was not fun. I try to remind myself that the baseball season is long and there will be stretches of bad outcomes. To wit: the 2017 Dodgers finished the season at 104-58. Yet from Aug.26 through Sept. 11 they lost 16 of 17 games. You are the "Voice of Reason. You have earned the designation of the guy who I will turn to for advice from time to time. Warning: It will be a wide variety of subjects.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Very easy. Lewis Thorpe needs to replace Perez. Perez is not a ML player if his velo sits 91-93 mph.Um, what? Thorpe tops out around 93-92 mph and has had a poor season at AAA. For as bad as Perez has been, Thorpe has a 5.40 ERA at AAA and it'd probably be over 6 in the majors if/when he pitches.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 What would happen if Martin Perez pitched to Miguel Sano?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Maybe Sano can raise his bowling avgGonna need to pick up more spares, cause there sure as heck ain't no more strikes to find.
Darius Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I’ve seen enough of Perez. For the love of God Falvine, before you squander this historic start. Get some GD real pitchers in here and quit the bargain bin garbage like Parker and Perez.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Way to take one for the team Cave!!!!
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 When was the last time Sano got a hit, will he ever hit again
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Apparently, you never went to college.I didn't do my home work, eating too much popcorn.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 You gotta get angry! You gotta get mean! That's the only way you can play! Patches O'Houlihan

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Perez is not a ML player anytime. I did not know this... I admit confusion was caused over the uniform and contract.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 What would happen if Martin Perez pitched to Miguel Sano?Total protonic reversal?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 When was the last time Sano got a hit, will he ever hit againYes. There is a legend from the dawn of spring training. Not until his last hit is forgotten will he hit again. Kinda like Brigadoon, but less music.

Get some GD real pitchers in here and quit the bargain bin garbage like Parker and Perez.I already said this in April, probably beat Astros. Those xFIP and DRA showed anyone they were very lucky pitchers.

It's just a particularly striking example of how even very good teams have bad stretches.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Perez is not a ML player anytime. We can't expect he can pick up this team. LOL.... I will hope Berrios throws a gem tomorrow. That's the third time you've said that.Lewis Thorpe, maybe, but his stats in AAA aren't impressive at all.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Whaddya know. A 1-2-3 inning. I wonder if it has anything to do with what part of their order is up?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Total protonic reversal? The door swings both ways.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Whaddya know. A 1-2-3 inning. I wonder if it has anything to do with what part of their order is up?I think it was a 9-1-2 inning.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 My first bit of advice: put quotation marks on both ends of what you are referring to in a sentence. LOL Serious question (Which is hard for me). I did a lot of sleeping when punctuation was taught in Elementary School, Middle School, High School and College. When you use quotation marks at the end of a sentence. Does the . or ? go inside the quotation marks or outside. Again Serious Question... and yes I have no shame.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Better get that out of your system, Dick. "The Twins haven't had a three game losing streak yet" schtick won't last too much longer.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Okay, maybe a good catch followed by a jolt will get the team back on track. Sounds like a plan, but just remember... you don't need to hit for the cycle.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Perez is toast, is clearly the weakest starter on this team. In fact the guy's a borderline #5 starter on any team right now, as bad as he ever was in Texas. He's become who he always was, as we all feared his success was a fluke. Twins shouldn't pick up his option and at this point they're in a tough spot because he's bad out of the bullpen as well. Can't trade him either.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 The Tigers knocked Bauer out--he was out after 4 innings.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I dunno. Ask google. (I have no shame either.)If you're watching this game in Great Britain you would put the ? outside the " but here we don't do that."
