Game Thread: Twins @ Royals, 6/21/19, 7:15 CT

[Riverbrian]

Where'd you last see it?

It's always in the last place you look... because who keeps looking for it after you've found it?

[USAFChief]

Good time for a strikeout.

Sano's up??

[ashbury]

OK, now I've lost patience with Perez.

[ashbury]

Sano's up??

You have a sick sense of what constitutes a good time.

I admire that in a person.

[Riverbrian]

[USAFChief]

ugh.

[LVTwinsfan]

Pfft

[USAFChief]

What happened to 96 from Perez?

[bighat]

Welp there it goes.

This is a good team that stinks right now. I hope Falvine are on the phones right now.

[ashbury]

After punting away that two-run rally in the top of the inning, the task facing our offense begins to remind me of the myth of Sisyphus. Doesn't matter how professionally they roll that rock up the hill - next inning, have to do it all again.

[jz7233]

Perez needs to be traded now, if not by the end of the season his ERA is going to be around 6.

[USAFChief]

Sano will go yard here.

Change my mind.

[Aggies7]

Sano has many Ks this week as he has rbi this entire season

[Mill1634]

Please call up Wade and send down Cave.

[LVTwinsfan]

Sanos strategy of not swinging the bat didn’t work, he still struck out

[USAFChief]

Good lord, send Cave out already and get Wade up here.

I'm too weary to like this.

[MMMordabito]

Does Sano have any options left? If so, he and Cave can go back to AAA tonight.

[jz7233]

Another strikeout looking for Sano, 3 more strikeouts today.

[bighat]

Sano's not even in the dugout yet and Cave is already walking right behind him after striking out. This is unreal.

[LaBombo]

That long ball off of Perez going out makes me feel like the front office is closer to being forced to either acquire a solid starter or tacitly acknowledge that a playoff-caliber team is an unforeseen windfall instead of a goal.

The problem is, who would want him, based on his recent starts?

[tbhysgb]

Yea time for Sano and cave to disappear. Don’t even care where

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Sano will go yard here.

Change my mind.

Um... i got 6 quarters, a dime, 3 nickels, and 5 pennies. That enough?

I think if they were serious, at least one of Kimbrel or Kuechel would be a Twin.

Can't trade him, because nobody wants him. He's not only bad, but he doesn't have a contract going beyond this season. Twins can't trade him to a fellow contender and no bad team has any reason to take him.

[tarheeltwinsfan]

Q - Where do rallies go to die? A - Tonight's 7 and 8 Twins' hitters

The question is, will Falvine do anything soon enough to matter, in any constructive sense? My gut tells me probably not.

In any case, I'm beginning to sense that starting pitching is on the verge of becoming the biggest need, if it isn't already.

[VATwinsFan]

And Cleveland now has the lead over Detroit in the 8th.

Down to a 5 game lead by the ASB?  (If we're lucky)
