  1. This is the most gut wrenching thing to see for longtime twins fans. I have no words
  2. No offense to Gibson. The guy is gutsy, and not a quitter. But he needs to focus on his health. The team needs to. Perez......I got nothing. I have zero faith this guy can be marginally effective against a real playoff team. There is zero margin for error when dealing with a team like the Yankees in the postseason. Give me the unknown in this case, because that’s how the great baseball tales truly start.
  3. It’s all coming together as planned .
  4. Kind of a waste to have Arraez hitting in front of Schoop and LaMarre. But oh well.
  5. Even in today’s sabermetrics led game I can’t see any reason for Arraez not to lead off. I’ve seen him draw too many long productive at bats. He legitimately gives you a chance to put the starter in a big hole in the first inning. That’s a leadoff hitter.
  6. Eh who cares about a regular MVP award anyhow. World Series MVP is what Cruz wants.
  7. I remember driving to Kansas the night of a game 163, trying to find a station playing the game going through South Dakota, then Nebraska. There’s a story there if I can find my point. Oh yea, it’s a long season and it’s gonna be tight.
  8. How’s the time to see what your prospects are made of. Do you wanna see Phil Hughes types blocking potential game changing pitchers just because they have so much money into them? I sure as hell don’t.
  9. Graterol's stuff could definitely play by missing AAA. Good whip numbers high velocity. Let's get this guy up and see if he can make MLB hitters look silly.
  10. If the Twins lose the division by one game I can count a number of messy losses as the culprit. It's baseball, don't read too much into a bad game here and there. Just the same as the "worst" team in baseball can very much win one here and there against good teams. From their perspective most teams above them are good. They've won 42 games, 23 of them against .500 clubs or better. It happens.
  11. Don’t bring Gibson back. Move on from him.
  12. IMO Mejia seems like an easy decision when you need to make room. He just looks too damn hittable and that just won’t get it done reasonably
  13. Eh too bad rookers not on the 40 man. I’d like to see him. Haven’t they been using him in the outfield in Rochester? Anyone know how that’s been going?
  14. I think Mejia's early season numbers were indication he was hurt. If he can be back to normal and throwing like he was I think he can be effective. But if his FB is down, and his command is shoddy he's got no place. But you don't throw him away without atleast giving him another chance. I'd like to see a couple trades for proven commodoties anyway. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have the very ass end of your bullpen filled with a Thorpe or Littel.
  15. I will say his 2 at bats looks like he’s at least trying to retool his approach.
