During their winning streak, the Twins had no real holes in their lineup. Now they're batting Sano and Cave in sequence, a guaranteed rally killing duo. Can't Baldy at least separate them in the order?

Sano and Cave have no hope at the plate - they just can't make contact with anything. Junis is struggling out there and yet he looks untouchable against them. This is infuriating to watch.

Sano and Cave make up just a black hole on offense.

Embarrassing. Stop playing these guys already, put Astudillo in the OF and Arraez at 3rd or something.

But didn't Sano get the day off yesterday?

Or maybe he played.

It's hard remember because nothing he did was memorable.

Acceptable, but no style points.

Comedy is in the details.

The doofer over the o in Sano ... I bow to you sir.

I totally forgot the NHL draft tonight.

Thank God the Canucks called to tell me that they drafted me in the 1st round or I would have missed the whole thing.

Sano is Chris Davis at this point.

I'm shocked I haven't had that thought before, but you're totally right. Sano and Cave's helpless flailing do remind me of Davis.

Just the right balance between sarcasm, despair, and jollity.

Exactly. We all understand that slumps happen to everyone. Even the best players are out 2/3 of the time.

But anyone who watches baseball can see that these two guys are absolutely lost. These aren't guys "having a few bad days", they're sincerely having trouble and can't adjust. A day on the bench isn't going to help either of these guys. It's completely mental and no amount of athletic ability is going to fix this nightmare.

Let Sano figure this out somewhere else - Rochester, Pensacola, Timbuktu. He's doing too much damage to the big league team right now. Cave should be replaced by the next guy in line as well. Service time be damned.

We need trade or DFA Sano. I'm done with him with Twins career.

I just checked the UPS Tracking Website. There is a whole new roster on it's way for ya.

 My answer is what.

<Checks IMDb> "Correct. The judges would also have accepted "Who" and "I don't know".

I would respond: "Tell me something I didn't already know."

(period inside quotation marks. That's where it belongs. Change my mind.)

Eh, Cave has barely played and is a fifth outfielder. I don’t really care if he flails for a few games, at least he’s providing defensive value. Either way, he’ll be gone soon enough.

Sano, on the other hand... yikes. He can’t last long playing like this.

Dick raved for two months about what a luxury it was to have a proven major league player in Cave that was simply unable to get at bats with the big league team.

Bunting with 2 outs and nobody on is like saying, let the next guy do it

If you're talking about Gore - he singled on that bunt and stole 2nd base. Dude got himself into scoring position and would have scored on a base hit. I'd be happy if one of our guys did that.

He was totally correct, in the sense that now that Cave is getting major league at bats, he is no longer a luxury.

I fixed that for you.

Pretty sure you didn't already know that, did you?

but there was no base hit, so the next guy didn’t come through

Yeah, Sano's 0 for his last 17. With 12 K's.

Incredibly terrible. How many of those came with men on base? Lots. Dude's just single-handedly carrying the flag for this slump.

You don't miss luxury until it's gone.

Hiya gang, afraid I cant stick around. Looks like a bad 1st for Perez but he's settled down.

Could I oblige someone for a brief rundown on how he's looked?

not only 0 for 17 but not even hitting anything even close to a hit, maybe he needs glasses

Right....but your original post seemed to be criticizing Gore for bunting. Maybe I missed something there.

Gore got into scoring position. I think with nobody on and 2 out, that's what you want the guy in the batter's box to do. Aside from hitting a home run (which I don't believe Gore has the ability to do), he got the result any fan or manager would want.
