Eddie's just not squaring it up like he did in April and May. Finishes the season with 26 HR maybe?

 

I can't remember the last time I saw him hit a double.

LOL! I doubt it. He's ranked 3rd in the AL with 19 homers and 2nd in RBI's with 52.  If he only hit 7 homers in the next 90 games it will most likely be injury related.

Yesterday I was ripping on Gladden as an analyst. Case in point:

 

Discussing Porcello making adjustments in how long he holds the set position, he says...

"There's nothing legal about it, as long as he comes to a stop."

 

Dan, "nothing legal" means that you CAN'T do it, not that you can.

On the plus side, we've cut way down on runners left on base and in scoring position compared to yesterday.

 

 

 

This is why I'm not on the Positive Thinking Committee at work.

That was a good call, no swing, and Sano has talent, but if you’re not concerned with Sano-sie’s perpetual check swings...

There’s a reason Gonzalez and Castro saw pitches over the plate there and Sano didn’t.

Porcello has gotten away with so many pitches we’ve crushed all year long.

 

Yeah. In most other games we'd still be waiting for Kepler's home run off that last meatball Porcello threw him, but instead it was a smash out to first.

Security threw me out.

The FSN peeps had a pretty good idea, because they put together a graphic showing how Porcie had owned the Twins over his last 6 starts against them. I was kinda hoping that meant we were due, but it turns out that I'm wrong. A lot.

They pinch hit for Castro in roughly the same situation Sunday. Castro is (was?) hitting well and we’re at a point in the season where you just let Castro hit.

Berrios is filthy! Best game of the year for him, incredible stuff.

 

now let's hope the O gives him a win... or at the very least a no decision. hits and bombas… in that order.
