twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Eddie's just not squaring it up like he did in April and May. Finishes the season with 26 HR maybe? I can't remember the last time I saw him hit a double.LOL! I doubt it. He's ranked 3rd in the AL with 19 homers and 2nd in RBI's with 52. If he only hit 7 homers in the next 90 games it will most likely be injury related.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Just curious, what is the opposite of “boom stick”? asking for a friendBoom slip. Or maybe it is the same thing, it just how ya use it. Tacking vs. Jibing.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 You are clearly copying me now... Working that hard to come up with nothing... just like I did. You're just jealous because patent office awarded me the trademark...
70charger Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I thought for sure when Sano was down 0-2 he would make some weak half-swing at the final pitch of the at bat. He did.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Miguel finally caught a break on that check swing!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 That was a good call, no swing, and Sano has talent, but if you’re not concerned with Sano-sie’s perpetual check swings...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Porcello has gotten away with so many pitches we’ve crushed all year long.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Yesterday I was ripping on Gladden as an analyst. Case in point: Discussing Porcello making adjustments in how long he holds the set position, he says..."There's nothing legal about it, as long as he comes to a stop." Dan, "nothing legal" means that you CAN'T do it, not that you can.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Two Cunningham fumbles, and also a kneel down with like a minute left in regulationOh, and the kick.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 On the plus side, we've cut way down on runners left on base and in scoring position compared to yesterday. This is why I'm not on the Positive Thinking Committee at work.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Rick freaking Porcello, who knew?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 wow... good old fashioned pitchers duel. Too bad Berrios is the guy who has given up a run.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 ok that crosses the line, somebody contact a moderator (Yes I know no discussion of ...apologies
jkcarew Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 That was a good call, no swing, and Sano has talent, but if you’re not concerned with Sano-sie’s perpetual check swings...There’s a reason Gonzalez and Castro saw pitches over the plate there and Sano didn’t.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Porcello has gotten away with so many pitches we’ve crushed all year long. Yeah. In most other games we'd still be waiting for Kepler's home run off that last meatball Porcello threw him, but instead it was a smash out to first.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Rick freaking Porcello, who knew? His agent? His mom?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 You're just jealous because patent office awarded me the trademark... I walked in the patent office and I said to the clerk. "This office is easily recognizable as an office... Clearly and obviously this is an office. Security threw me out. So Yeah... I'm a little jealous.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Rick freaking Porcello, who knew? The FSN peeps had a pretty good idea, because they put together a graphic showing how Porcie had owned the Twins over his last 6 starts against them. I was kinda hoping that meant we were due, but it turns out that I'm wrong. A lot.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 There’s a reason Gonzalez and Castro saw pitches over the plate there and Sano didn’t.They pinch hit for Castro in roughly the same situation Sunday. Castro is (was?) hitting well and we’re at a point in the season where you just let Castro hit.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Need some hits this inning
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 What a performance. Get him a run or two, you mopes.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Who knew our #2 pitcher could almost act like an ace...WOW!
70charger Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Berrios pitched like a madman. Props.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Berrios is filthy! Best game of the year for him, incredible stuff.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Time for the offense to do its thing. Hate to waste a great pitching performance.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Berrios pitched like an ace today...against a good lineup. Good to see.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Berrios is filthy! Best game of the year for him, incredible stuff. now let's hope the O gives him a win... or at the very least a no decision. hits and bombas… in that order.
