But it isn't chicken.

But that's just it. It isn't chicken. You've already cast the die for a loss!!

Twins had a terrific May in 1990 and then the wheels came off and they finished in last place. Also in 1992, a season after their WS winning season, the Twins owned the best record in baseball at the All Star break and then ended up not even making the playoffs. I'll take this season one game at a time and keep cheering! Go Twins,  Oldf man here with alot of Memories on this day!!

So the lesson? Enjoy and submerge and submit while you can. It certainly will not last forever, and might all end next month, or next week. To deny it while it is happening for the fact it might not last...... then you surely miss it all. Old man here that has paid attention, and knows time is too short to not celebrate when it is time. It is time.

4). ESPN has moved this squad up to #2 in the power rankings behind the Astros. That must have been extremely painful for those staff writers. Still not sure how they’re not #1 after already winning the season series. They rave about their offense....but we’re ahead in every single meaningful category. We’re +20 in run differential. We’re 3 games ahead in the standings.

Everyone talks about the injuries of the Astros/Yankees....but nobody seems to notice Nelson Cruz, Mitch Garver, and Miguel Sano have all missed significant time with injuries already this year.

Oh well, I’ll take the reluctant hat-tip from ESPN. Let’s go get a big win tonight and keep it going.

I was really high on the Twins at the beginning of the year, but I would still personally rank them #4 now. The Astros, Yankees, and Dodgers have playoff experience and are exceptionally deep teams. It's better to be underdogs, right?;)

Happy Memorial Day, everyone!

Homeruns are up in all of the majors are the Twins are on pace to hit more than 300?!$&$?!!! Can anyone say juiced ball? I guess that’s better than juiced players...Go Twins

Just over half the teams only 69 or less. The Marlins have 36. The Tigers have 41. Giants 48, Pirates 51, Cleveland 54, Royals 55, White Sox 60. The Phillies only have 61. They must be getting the other balls. I wonder which ones they get when they play each other?

putting chicken in ahead of time does that though too.

You should've gone with non-poultry. That was the only safe choice.

no poultry cooking on game day? What about beef or pork? Can I smoke a rack of ribs? Or should we all go vegan from April to November just in case?

Smoking ribs would be the perfect answer. And then tell me when dinner is. :)

Itz a fact that home runs are up in the majors. Look it up, posting numbers from under achieving teams doesn’t change that

Yup. That is a fact. Juiced balls claim is not.

Well, then, put me down as a die caster, because we've ribs on the pellet grill.

A few things:

1). In today’s political age, a lot of people who live in this country like to complain about how terrible it is. In my opinion, it’s disgraceful. It shouldn’t take a holiday to remind us of reality, and number of great Americans who have sacrificed their lives to promote freedom of choice, and dethrone tyrants, despots, and sycophants of all kinds. The United States is the greatest country in the world, and it’s due to service men and women not here to eat grilled hot dogs and drink beer today.

...

I heard related a conversation with someone recently moved to the US from an iron curtain country. Asked about the various aspects of life there he would answer... "Can't complain. Job was good. Work rewarding." "Can't complain. Schools were free and eduaction was good." "Can't complain. Stores were well stocked with goods." Finally they asked if everything was so good, why'd they move? "Ah! Here, i can complain!"

OT but still baseball, is there anything to prevent the Twins from calling Kimbrel and saying, hey, wait until the draft and we'll pay you stupid money for your services?

Tomorrow around 6. If you can make the trip to Cleveland, I'll set a spot out for you.
