If the Twins can get 3 runs off Chapman, I'll sell my car, house, and girlfriend

It ain't happening

How much for the girl?

Asking for a friend.

Do you have a sister? May throw in a trade-in allowance

Yes, I do. She was Chief's babysitter. Single for the past 62 years now and looking.

Ugly game. At least we made Chapman more than likely unavailable for tomorrow. I am confident this team will bounce back tomorrow.

Have a safe night everyone, see yeah for lunch tomorrow!!

Lost by the amount of unearned runs. Not the prettiest game today, but the good news is there's another one tomorrow.

Early one as well! Not much time to dwell on this one.

I'm not too worried about this game as the Yankees used their best starter and all of their best relievers while the Twins suffered through a very sloppy offensive and defensive game only to lose by 3 using Morin and Romero out of the pen. Look for a bounce-back tomorrow from a resilient team.

Go Twins!

Yep, like Roy Smalley just said, Twins stunk in all aspects. Yankees played poorly, Twins managed to play worse. Horrible home plate umpiring. Ugly game all around. Get 'em tomorrow.

I miss the funny gamethreads....

I miss the game threads that didn't spend most of their time on either irrelevance or despair. God forbid, it's actually possible to have game threads without persistent bitching or not talking about the game at all.

It seems there could be a middle ground between those two widely disparate points.

Yep, as I called in the third or so inning:

"I can just tell this is going to be one of those unlucky games the Twins simply won’t win, despite the offense looking adequate."

Basically everything went against the team (largely deserved defensively) and they lost by three runs. It happens. That's baseball.
