But it is kind of amazing that regardless of either roster, time of the season, team standing, win streaks, they ALWAYS play bad games here. Almost 20 years of it is kind of a trend

The Yankees have had almost no losing seasons.... Maybe none, in that time. They beat everyone.

Buxton's well on his way to a .215 batting average by June, and we'll have to go through the whole "can we afford to keep this guy in the lineup?" conversation that we've had ever since he got to the bigs. His breakout in the first few weeks seems like a loooong time ago right now.

Twins are not scared of the Yankees. They're professionals. When you play 162 games a year, you're bound to have some off nights. We had one against Gerrit Cole last week. We're having one now. It happens. It isn't the first, it isn't the last. R-E-L-A-X. This game is far from over

Sure, and the twins have had some decent teams in that time.

Let’s not forget those first two games, at home, against Toronto. Were we scared of them also?

It's different. Twins' failure has been a 20 year trend against this team.

Lol you guys can spin it any way you want it. 25-57 against the Yankees this century, 10-31 on the road. That’s brutal and no other club comes close.

I’m gonna take the negative, unscientific side in this debate. Seems definitely like a culture issue for them playing here. Don’t know how else to explain it at this point. It’s one game, sure, but one game after another, no?

Keep in mind the earlier posts pointing out how bad this Yankee team is. In fact, lots of Yankee teams have been less than stellar over this period.

But. Hopefully this is the new improved Baldelli Twins and they prove us wrong tomorrow.

That’s what bothers me, it was one thing when it was Jeter and Arod and Clemens and Pettite. This ain’t your daddy’s Yankees, or even your older brother’s Yankees. Someone put the maloik on us!

I was. They're from Canada!*

Note, I think none of them are from Canada....

Good lord, Gibson, compose yourself.

Someone should have been tossed from our side. This drake fella has been terrible from cruz’s AB in the first

I'd start the next inning by telling Garver to not next catch a fastball and hit the ump right in the chest protector. He's been pathetic tonight. Three big time missed calls have cost Gibson extra pitches and runs scored.

The Doctor is in, at least for a time.

I'd offer up 2 RX:

1] A big inning with some XB hits and score 4 runs to even this out.

2] A chill pill and a drink for anyone spitting at their screen.

*still just 1 game folks.

The Yankees have two less wins than the Twins, and are at home.....

Do I think it is impossible there is some kind of psychology in play? No. Do I believe that is the explanation? No.

Either way, terrible game so far for the Twins. Offense. Defense. Pitching. Yuck.

I believe it was said earlier that the Yankees have zero wins thus far against teams above .500. At least for another hour or so

Agree Mike. We have a nice team playing good ball. Some days you just dont have it. Period.

A lot of new guys on this team. Doubt they buy in to some curse. Just a bad night.

I have wondered sometimes, the players on our roster, previous or now, whatever, maybe they just dont feel comfortable in NY. Maybe the hitters dont see the ball well here, etc. Just an idle thought.

The obvious solution to that is for the Twins to drop below .500.

I say just forfeit this series to the Yanks and let them have their 3 wins up front. It'll save the heartbreak and frustration that Twins fans would have to sit through to watch these guys play like clowns every time they step foot into this ballpark.
