Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 I just can’t even with Rosario, Kepler, and Escobar right now.
slash129 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 I just checked into this game ... Wtf is Morrison doing in the leadoff spot ... Monitor must have accidentally written "1B" in permanent marker on his lineup card
70charger Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Escobar has some serious power. 20 HR last year and already 7 this year? That's ridiculous.
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Wait....we let Odo hit for himself, and then put a new pitcher in the next inning. What the hell. Only thing I can think: Molitor was going to pull Odorizzi if the Twins got another run because the league would be bigger. If not, he wanted to ride his starter another inning. But that still makes little sense since pinch-hitting for Odorizzi makes it way more likely you get the runs you "need" in order to pull the starter. Not going to matter but seems like Molly out-thought himself?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Mighty mouse nothing. Escobar is a STUD.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 What has gotten into EE since he was moved to the clean up role? Love it
woolywoolhouse Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Escobar showing how you make the best of your situation! (Polanco suspended; Sano DL'ed, all in a contract year.)
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Was gonna say that. Don't need to waste a bench player if you're gonna bunt anyway. Provided you know JO can get it down. Which is a little risky I supposeOr you could bring in a PH and swing away and try for a crocked number instead of bunting. Even if you're going to bunt, I'd trust a bench player to be able to do it more than I would a pitcher - especially a pitcher that rarely holds a bat.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Above others, I was hoping for an Escobar extension last winter; it would have been pretty cheap and he's pretty versatile. Might not be cheap anymore.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Did a bunch of space aliens come down and take over our Twins? Wow.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 This team has been noticeably not striking out tons of late.....the hitters I mean

Might not be cheap anymore. His defense will hurt him on the open market but it's definitely not going to be as cheap as it was to hang on to him.

Just trying to wrap my head around the thought process.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 This team has been noticeably not striking out tons of late.....the hitters I meanWell Sano has been out of the lineup for a few days now.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Just caught the highlight of Esco's homer. Had to do a double take. Thought I was watching a Mark McGwire moonshot for a minute
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Did a bunch of space aliens come down and take over our Twins? Wow.That did happen. From April 20 through May 1.
slash129 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Hughes should be able to pitch the 8th, then Rodney can come in for the save in the 9th.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Just got home. Always good to "turn on the game" and see a score like this.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Hughes should be able to pitch the 8th, then Rodney can come in for the save in the 9th. I was thinking we might see Rogers, he's pitched once ine last 10 days or so.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 I just can’t even with Rosario, Kepler, and Escobar right now.So, about that split.....
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Did a bunch of space aliens come down and take over our Twins? Wow. I am hoping the team that got swept by Tampa was the alien imposters and this team is the real thing.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 I was thinking we might see Rogers, he's pitched once ine last 10 days or so.That would make sense. Give Rogers the 8th, and Hughes the 9th.
gil4 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 That did happen. From April 20 through May 1.I'm not sure which version is the real Twins and which is the aliens, but if the current group is the aliens, they can stay.
slash129 Verified Member Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 That would make sense. Give Rogers the 8th, and Hughes the 9th.So Rodney will come in for a 1-3 out save ...
