sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 No, I like the red. It’s my favorite color. But then all the colors are my favorite color. Except green. Not easy being green... ashbury 1
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 How many more Hughes outings are we going to be treated to?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Might be introduced to Dave Hale soon here.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 The Phil Hughes experience. We’re living it
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 How many more Hughes outings are we going to be treated to?Hopefully this is the last one. He just does not have it anymore.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Phil "No Lead is Safe" Hughes
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Thank you Schebler. Only needing to get 2 outs legitimately, always helps.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Hopefully this is the last one. He just does not have it anymore. It's time to eat the $24 million. The entire rotation at Rochester is better than this. Danchat and Puckett34 2
luckylager Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Hughes needs to go to the bulllpen. I think he'll be effective there. Just not a rotation guy any more. glunn 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 A flashback to 2003. That team and the couple before it had guts. They’ll always be my favorite.
luckylager Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I love Clint Eastwood's color commentary Aggies7, ashbury and glunn 3
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 A flashback to 2003. That team and the couple before it had guts. They’ll always be my favorite.Oh AND they won in NY. A playoff game no less
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Nice snag of a rocket from Kepler, by Gennett.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 This would have been more appropos yesterday, but speaking of the Yankees, from 1998-2001, the twins were 15-20 against the Yankees despite the obvious talent gap (Yankees World Series years). Makes these last 10 or so years all the more astonishing glunn 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Wow, I thought Schebler had that. Escobar says thanks.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 THIS is the Morrison I thought we signed. ashbury and Nine of twelve 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Yikes that was scalded by morrison ashbury 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Apparently the Twins batting practice pitchers don't know how to do their jobs. Kudos to the Reds staff for feeding LoMo enough hittable pitches that he might be starting to get his rhythm back.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Man, I think they were going to nail Morrison at the plate, but Gennett bobbles the relay. Is this what it's like playing against us?
Eris Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 In 2014, Hughes was touching 96 at his upper range. The best I’ve seen tonight is 91. But there’s also a 1.5 mph adjustment from PitchX to Statcast. Therefore, Hughes has lost 6.5 mph on his fastball because of injuries. Perkins velocity loss was similar and he decided to retire.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 It's sad, and not of his own making, but we can't have a pitcher just lobbing it up there. The motion looks restrained. Nine of twelve 1
Blake Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Man, I think they were going to nail Morrison at the plate, but Gennett bobbles the relay. Is this what it's like playing against us?Maybe the 2016 Twins. ashbury 1
Blake Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I know the game is back on but I'm afraid to look and see if Molitor put Hughes back out again. Oh well, here goes nothing.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I'm not sure Hughes is good anymore. Call it a hunch. Blake and ashbury 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 4th start in last 5 to not go 5 innings for the twins. Not even 4 here. I get the feeling Phil is done-zo
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Hughes will get either one more start or no more starts. Either way I think his career is nearly over.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Hughes is burnt. Much like the Kinley debate a few days ago, Hughes has no spot on a contending teams roster. Blake, Nine of twelve and Danchat 3
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I am not surprised at all that Hughes looks awful. He's been a shell of himself the past two seasons, why would he suddenly be good this year? It's nearly time to eat the contract and move on. Nine of twelve 1
Kyle DeBarge Wichita Wind Surge - AA 2B/CF On Sunday, DeBarge went 3-for-3 with a walk and a double. It was his second multi-hit game in his past three games. Explore Kyle DeBarge News >
