Gameday shows the Reds starter as Luis Castillo*. He's young but has been traded a few times. Baseball-reference.com shows an odd sequence:

July 29, 2016: Traded by the Miami Marlins with Josh Naylor (minors), Carter Capps and Jarred Cosart to the San Diego Padres for Andrew Cashner, Tayron Guerrero, Colin Rea** and cash.

August 1, 2016: Traded by the San Diego Padres to the Miami Marlins for Colin Rea.

Two days after a big trade, the two teams both say "whoops, didn't mean to include that one guy. Backsies? Okay. Whew." ***

* Not to be mistaken for that guy who played second base for us for a little while and eventually netted us Drew Butera in trade.

** Not to be mistaken for that Crying Game guy****

*** Actually the trade was unwound due to an injury to Rea. Ruins a good story.

**** Don't you just hate unnecessary footnotes?*****

***** Yeah, me too.

Ftfy... i think.

No, i rather enjoy footnotes in all shapes, sizes, socks, and shoes.

Calling balls and strikes is incredibly difficult at any level. At the MLB level where corners are chewed on constantly it's even harder. And yes there may be technology that would allow balls and strikes to be called more consistently. And there is technology that would do foul calls, and I am sure even force plays without an umpire. All you need is sensors in the bags, combining it with a a laser image of the ball striking the glove. (Unless Morrison is playing first, not striking the glove). Hitting a baseball is even harder than calling the plate. So why not use technology like advanced metals for the bats to improve exit velocity with a bigger sweet spot? As for the missed calls for Twins pitchers, I wouldn't be surprised to see there were some for Yankee pitchers also? There, I am done, we now return to our regular programming. :)

I expect to see your review after the first showing this afternoon. I'll be waiting until Monday afternoon, when traffic at the theatre has died a bit.

Review? No I won’t spoil it for anyone. However,

I have always figured that over the course of a season the number of calls against would be about the same number as those for. After reading Twins Daily the last few years it seems that the missed calls always go against the Twins. The math makes that seem unlikely but maybe that's why math isn't allowed on here.

It’s a red later date in the yarnivek household. Mr. and Mrs. yarnivek have been working toward adopting a child or children for several years. Today we met the girl we hope to adopt for the very first time. It is going well. So, I may not be in forum much this weekend.

Good job and I pray things go well.

This tells me nothing so let’s start with the basics. Did you like it? Where would you rank it against all the other Marvel movies.

I’m reluctant to say too much. Yes I liked it, much as I enjoyed all of the predecessors. It walks a full emotional gamut, which is what art should do.

If I were to compare it to any other movie, I’d say The Empire Strikes Back, the best film of its franchise.

Also bringing back Alan Silvestri to do the score was a smart move.

‘Nuff said.

Well, the Twins are on at Che Blake, but, I have to tell you, I'm not excited about the start by Phil Hughes.

Just seems like the Twins are giving away games by keeping Hughes around.

Two straight pitches right at Votto's legs. Hughes facial expression tried to sell the HBP as a mistake, but it seems unlikely.
