Game Thread: Cleveland v Twins, 4/18 @ 6:10 pm CT

No reason, imo, not to pinch hit for Castro occasionally. And, yes there is a reason, Castro can't hit lefties and Garver might.

That's fair.

[Mike Sixel]

I like Garver, but he's a rookie that Molitor doesn't trust very much. They're going to keep sending him out there for his defense... perhaps they don't trust Garver as much defensively. Many on this forum called Garver awful defensively, but I'm not sure how relevant that criticism was.

I'm guessing few of them saw Garver play much, but I could be wrong.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Wait, I thought I was arguing an in-game decision.

Isn't Lamarre currently with the Twins in PR?

Is he? I can't keep track of this early season nonsense anymore.

Kepler exits game with knee injury per twitter

[yarnivek1972]

So, now by taking out Berrios too early, Molitor is in an extra inning game with Moya, Kinley, Rogers, Pressly, Busenitz and Duke. One of whom has actually pitched like he belongs on a contending team this season.

BRILLIANT!!!!

[Blake]

Ah, dawns the light.

I would never argue that a player should be brought up like that.

I think Lamarre is currently with the Twins in PR. If not, then I stand corrected.

[Mill1634]

What in the **** was that

[Squirrel]

Well, **** it.

[Danchat]

Well, LaMarre's out there now. Happy?

[Aggies7]

Yep.

Nice play.

No.

I'm a Twins fans. My default is misery, angst and depression.

Nice throw Dozier

[Cap'n Piranha]

Dozier seems to lack a sense of when to throw a ball, and when not to.

[Danchat]

Dozier may have a Gold Glove, but he doesn't have a gold arm.

[jud6312]

Hopefully Kepler's knee injury isn't anything serious. A winning team doesn't have a starting OF with players the quality of Grossman or LaMarre, much less both of them.

[Danchat]

That was a waste of a pinch hitter. Usually you don't use a bench player specifically to bunt and then he fails at it and strikes out...

[h2oface]

Gold gloves? And Duke needs all the help he can get. 6 BB in 4 innings.

Mauer should have picked that, regardless.

Ravech just said Sano doesn't play 3rd base all the time.

[Cap'n Piranha]

Hey, did you guys know Lindor hit a homerun last night?

PLUS, he's actually from Puerto Rico!

That's weird.

Did you also know that baseball is HUGE in Puerto Rico? Heard that somewhere.

Is that wrong? Does he not DH?

Listening to Provus and damn, he's a good announcer. I hope he sticks around forever.

The way he said it made it sound like Sano only plays there on getaway days or in case of injury, not that he's the team's primary hot sacker.

There’s something you don’t see every day:

IBB lefty on lefty

ESPN has scripted that Lindor hits a walk-off HR, so I can understand why they're making that decision.

No reason not to do it when the following hitter is so much less dangerous.

[jud6312]

LaMarre dives a bit more to his left and we've got a starting OF of Granite, LaMarre and Grossman.

[twinssporto]

I smell a Twins walk off this inning...
