How do you not understand that every pitch matters? If Santana threw 2 clean innings was at 30 pitches but had "2 bad pitches" he would likely stay in the game, lessening the time a crappy bullpen has to pitch.

Was in the kitchen and had no line of sight. Thought I heard them say it was Didi's throw that arrived with no chance to get Buxton, but it must have been Starlin.

Reminds we when I used to drive to and from work on the Autobahn.  A car would pass me (as I'm doing 125 mph in the slow lane) I'd have no idea what kind it was.  I'd say something like, 'it sounded like a sports car'...
