Burnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!' Jk Yankee stadium

I briefly considered a train ride down to Yankee Stadium and back, but the overall cost proved difficult to explain to the person holding joint check-writing privileges in our household.

Looks like I'll be making the trip to Target Field to watch on the scoreboard!

That's where I'd go if I lived in Mps ... 10 yrs to go and I will be. As it is I work until 7 that evening and will have it on as soon as I get home so I'll miss the 1st inning or two ... three if it's 3 up and down every half.

Vacillating between the Fremont, Herkimer's and the American Legion in Wayzata.

It will probably be the latter, as 1.) my S Mpls friend has a father with recent health issues, and 2.) it is really a damn good baseball saloon.

My son is 6, and just getting into baseball. I was 7 in 1987, and remember watching the Twins/Tigers at home with my dad; I'll be continuing the cycle with my son in my living room tomorrow night.

You know, MLB.tv made things so easy to watch the Twins when you're out of market. And they make things so god dang difficult to watch a playoff game. Apparently you can pay $25 for postseason games, but in order for it to work, you need a cable subscription.....

Sooo, if you have a cable subscription, why do you need to buy postseason coverage on MLB.tv? Seems backwards to me.

I'll be watching the game from the comfort of my living room. The beer is good (and cheaper), the company is better and the only people looking at me like a lunatic for talking to my television set will be my family.

My dogs will likely not be watching the game as a result.

Sling TV would have you covered, I think.  Their Orange package includes ESPN and TBS, the Blue package includes FS1 and FOX (if your market includes local channels).  You can get them both for $40 for one month, no contract.

You don't even need to use the Sling web site or apps, you can log in with your Sling credentials directly in the Watch ESPN or Fox Sports Go apps if you prefer. Both apps also support Chromecast.  (The TBS app now supports Chromecast too but apparently can't authenticate with Sling?I guess you would need to use the Sling app for those games.)

What's the bedtime like? It's pretty early at my house. I don't think I'd stretch it until they get further in the playoffs.

I actually had to listen to the 10th inning of Game 7 in 1991 on radio in my bed because it was a school night. :)

I'll at least have it on a laptop in the Polanco neighborhood in Mexico City. I may try to go out somewhere because (sadly) since it's the Yankees, they very well may have it on TV here.

Thanks for the tip! I may do this as a free trial instead of heading to a bar!

I have a feeling around 7:45pm he'll have made his way to the floor to play with Lego, and around 9pm he'll put himself to bed. :)

Playstation Vue is another option.  Basically the same thing.  I get ESPN and FSN in the mid-tier subscription for $35 a month.  You can also use it with a chromecast or playstation.  That's another option for you.

He might surprise you. "The most important Twins game of my lifetime" probably carries more weight to a 6 year old than it did for me at my more-advanced age in 1987. And rightly so.

Either my hotel room or a sports bar within walking distance; on my way to Charleston, SC tomorrow.

Not sure if it's still even around, but try to get happy hour at the noisy oyster downtown. $1.99 dozen oysters, $1.99 beers, $1.99 shrimp cocktails
