TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Difference in the game so far is the Indians got the big hit when necessary and the Twins have continued their frustrating habit of leaving guys in scoring position in big spots. The first 2 games against the Yankees and tonite's game have been good training tools for the playoff crucible. They're not exactly brimming with confidence at the plate when the chips are at their highest. David HK 1

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Bruce will not face Pressly. Has to be Rogers or Turley.

akmanak Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 (edited) This is a reason why Molitor should not have his contract renewed after this year and probably won't. Gee should of never came out of the game and he has no clue on how to utilize a bullpen. Edited September 27, 2017 by akmanak
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 That's the ballgame. NEXT!!!!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 There are about ten guys in this bullpen that I hope to never see again. And a game like this makes me really dread having to watch postseason baseball again where it's just pitching change after pitching change.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Well, there's always tomorrow. Or the next 4 days after that.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Does that count as manufacturing a run?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Looks like the ol' magic number won't be moving tonight. Only a Minnesota fan would be nervous with a 4 game lead with 5 to play..
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 This is a reason Molitor should not have his contract renewed after this year and probably won't. Gee should of never came out of the game and he has no clue on how to utilize a bullpen. This is absolutely wrong. Gee has not been effective the second time through all year. He was pulled EXACTLY when he should have been. I think Molitor's bullpen management tonight has been pretty good. Although, I would have had Gee start the second.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Tonight has also served as a good exhibit of those pitchers who hopefully won't be on the roster next year -- Colon, Pressly, Duffey....I'm looking at you. David HK 1

Only a Minnesota fan would be nervous with a 4 game lead with 5 to play..We have 3 games against a AAA team and the rest of the motley crew in the playoff race aren't even .500. I'm not the least bit concerned about them. We should be shaking in our boots at the thought of having a playoff series against Cleveland.

Intelligent banter and snappy conversation. Could be the name of a book!!! Even better than the "Crucible", horrible book! David HK 1

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Author Posted September 27, 2017 I normally don't make these type of comments in the game thread. But... When I look at the Indians Pen.When I look at the Yankees Pen. When I look at the Red Sox Pen.When I look at the Astros Pen. I immediately wonder if Falvey and Lavine are paying attention. Bullpens are winning championships now and will win more in the future. Please get bullpen serious in 2018... Please. I've been a good loyal fan and I've been asking specifically for a shut down bullpen for two years now. Do it for me if you can't do it for yourself. USAFChief, David HK, wsnydes and 4 others 7
