twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Damn. I am just straight up terrible at posting the lineupsYou tried, with all this talk of massive hurricanes and raging forest fires, who can blame you. The link works, no worries. Mike Sixel 1
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 I'd note that it looks like the hurricane is now going to head up the east coast of FL instead of the west. That alone is a godsend (especially to those in Fort Myers, Tampa, etc). That will leave the strong side of the hurricane in the ocean. Miami residents are still screwed unfortunately. Stay safe. wsnydes 1
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Snowpiercer. Everyone should go see that movie. So good. I was entertained.....still not sure why.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 Did you see that crazy movie where they were going around the world in a train after we tried to cool the earth, and it worked too well.......what if we all jumped together, and all it did was tilt the axis? No, i have not seen that crazy movie. Alas. I am uncultured...

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 We're breathing smoke from the Montana fires all the way down here in New Mexico. I wonder if Kansas City's air is also affected. Heard other stories from friends about people stuck in Florida, deciding whether to try to drive, or worried about getting on the road, getting stuck in traffic, running out of gas and then getting hit by the hurricane while on the road. Here's hoping the path of this monster misses Florida as much as possible. We're seeing brilliant sunsets in Minnesota as a result of the fires. KC might be too far off the track. It's past the Rockies and south of the typical jet stream track. ThejacKmp 1

It's probably worse up here in the mountains, but it's still heading east from here and disbursing across the plains.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 I know we complain about Molitor's lineups sometimes, but why is Moustakas batting 6th? He has 35 homers and is second on the team in OPS. Wouldn't you want him batting 4th every night? Mike Sixel, ThejacKmp and Danchat 3
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Dozier had at least 10 junk touches between each pitch, with a high of 17 separate touches/adjustments (that was on tv, anyway, so i might have missed some) between a pitch during that first at bat. He is definitely rivaling Nolasco, now.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 well, eddie took a coupla pitches ...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Man, I wonder how many times we've struck out with a runner at 3rd and less than 2 outs this year

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 (edited) Watching the Polanco no doubter off the bat double again, coupled with the lollipop throw in from the warning track, I am amazed that Mauer could not score from first .... on a double...... on that play. Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Has Mauer scored from first all year? Didn't this recently happen?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Buxton mini slump. 0 for last 11.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Wow. I didn't expect for that to be let drop without a play.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Not running after a dropped strike 3 is so lame. Danchat, h2oface and adorduan 3
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Not running after a dropped strike 3 is so lame.By a catcher, no less. Maybe it was professional courtesy for the opposing team catcher?

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Dick just said the white sox have their backup catcher warming up in the pen...in the second inning. That just seems bizarre. I hope he pitches eight innings of relief.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 So who is this nobody shutting the offense down?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Dozier goes to work.... on his junk.
