GCTF Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Buxton OPS > .700Polonco closing in as well after being sub .600 no so long ago.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Buxton 20/30 this year?He hit 9 dingers in September last year. All things seem possible for this young man, not 24 until December.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Polanco is another who has benefitted from some patience from the coaches this season.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Not too early to say Byron = GOATApparently not.http://twinsdaily.com/topic/27296-buxton-twins-all-time-defensive-goat/
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Even Gimenez is over .700 right now. ducks.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Even Gimenez is over .700 right now. ducks. Wow, you mean the Twins are not a terrible team??
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 102 pitches and everything is up. One more hit and he's gone. Still, these last 2 starts give hope - the guy has big league stuff. As Duke and Satchmo noted, he has gotten a LOT of swings and misses against a team that routinely his Twins pitching pretty well.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Haven't said it much this season but I'll say it now.... Well done, Gibby. Please keep it going. Your arm may be the key to October baseball.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I want to know what's got into Gibson. 7 strikeouts in 6.2 innings? Two decent performances in a row? Cool. Let see if Mr. Gibson can hit the trifecta.
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Scoreboard watching is looking good as Houston scores 2 in the top of the first and Royals and Mariners trailing a combined 22-1
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I think the Yankees have forgotten about the Wild Card and have set their sights on Boston. Only 3 or so back.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Real question: Does Latroy know there are two wild card spots?
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I swear my slo pitch team from 30 years ago wore the exact same unis as the Jays are wearing
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Real question: Does Latroy know there are two wild card spots? Quoting Latroy Hawkins "I know there are two Wild Card spots..." It's almost as if he read your question
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 OK, I don't get this. Why are we taking out Hildy?
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Wild card 2 contenders are all around .500. Yankees will move to 70-59 today. Boston will fall to 73-57. That's the race. Cleveland has 7 games on the Twins. Forget about Boston, NY Cleveland. It's LA, Seattle, KC, or any of the horde of teams just under .500 at the moment that are battling for a chance to play in Boston or NY.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 OK, I don't get this. Why are we taking out Hildy? Pitching third day in a row?
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 OK, I don't get this. Why are we taking out Hildy? Cause they can and because Hilldenberger has pitched every day this weekend. Makes sense to me to over manage a few days before we can expand the bullpen.
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
