16-0, .50 ERA, 768 SO.

My slash line on the other hand.....we will not be talking about.

Okay, we won't talk about your slash line, we'll merely speculate.

Ahh... I see

(Thinking)

I love Dick and Bert... They are one of us

(Thinking)

However... I don't want them making commissioner type decisions.

I am NOT for expansion, but if we do, I'd like Salt Lake to get a team.  They have a NBA team and an MLS team.  Which is perfect since I don't watch either :-(

Check me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can do that Jimbo.

Disconcurs:

(Or, is that "unconcurs"?)

Uh, the new commissioner is considering starting extra inning games with a runner on second. Not really seeing the problem.

Also, let's get an MLB team in Mexico City!

The Mexican League is about AAA caliber or so, but it's really more like AAAA, because while AAA affiliated baseball is about guys on their way up or at least kind of cycling in and out of the bigs, the Mexican Leagues are far more likely to employ guys on their way down.

For example, my local team is the Diablos Rojos de Mexico, and I was recently at a game against the Pericos de Puebla ($8.50 front row seats, and $1.50 beers!) and their starting pitcher was none other than former Twin Josh Roenicke.

Now, that guy's not going back to the MLB, but it was just a couple years ago he stuck on a major league roster. People here in Mexico know and love baseball.

Plus Mexico City is bigger than any city in the U.S. So even if there's little local support, it'll still be much, much more local support than, say, Oakland or Tampa or Milwaukee. If New York could support three teams, Mexico City could support one.

Sorry i haven't posted tons of "Force out" style puns and Jabba Vsrgas .gif gags, but I'm stuck at the actual game with just my mobile. I'm glad C3PO isn't here to tell me the odds of getting home before midnight. Pretty incredible evening for a ball game, though.

Just cause some teams have a hard time recognizing/developing MLB talent (especially pitching) doesn't mean it's diluted.

Seriously tho... The Caribbean needs a team. The Marlins haven't figured out how to tap into that market.

San Juan should get a squad. I know we are not talking about Park Avenue but population and passion could work in its place.

A thing of beauty. After the game, I say they give Berrios first shot at the team bar of soap in the communal shower. He's earned it.

Ha ha ha haGROSS!

Remember when Berrios was held in AAA because he had "things to work on?" I think O.J. is out looking for those things.

The fans would get beaned with balls for not following old school rules ;--)

If MLBTV wasn't an inanimate object, I'd beat the effin' piss out of it!

You need decent internet for it to work really well. I found that out when I had horrendous Verizon internet.

Monterrey would be a better choice. Much higher per capita income, more industrialized, closer to the US for travel purposes.

But how could Mexico City be competitive at those prices? Only if Carlos Slim subsidizes the team...

Nope, but I hear Karly is a bit of a bitch too.

...I'm assuming that's your ex?

Current! It's Amanda you need to keep your eye on.... And run.

It would help if there were enough people to buy tickets- 37% of Puerto Ricans are on food stamps and the "official" unemployment rate is 15% (actually much higher) and the Commonwealth is on the brink of bankruptcy. In short, it's an economic basket case.

Monterrey is also the home of Topo Chicho mineral water! A great mixer for vodka....

Monterrey is the 3rd largest city in Mexico... Mexico City is the 1st... You skipped over #2

I guess... "Oh No... Guadalajara won't do now.".
