Game Thread: Twins vs. Indians, 6/17 @ 1:10 and again at 7:10

[David HK]

Sorry, it's 3AM here, just woke up for Nature...  may be a bit groggy...

Is that 70-something Jim Merritt on the mound for the Tribe?

And who's that guy in the beard?  Long John Wilkes Booth or something?

[Whammy]

How the hell does Ramirez get so much power the other way?

[Circus Boy]

Groundhog Day. Again.

Wilk is going to have 50 pitches before recording his 4th out. It's almost funny at this point.

GETTING FUNNIER

[Aggies7]

It's going to have to hurt some more before it gets better, folks.

[Whammy]

This is why I always play 18 holes of golf. Things start over on the back 9

[Winston Smith]

I hate to go out on a limb but I don't thimk the Twins are a playoff caliber team yet.

But first place for a month or so was quite fun.

[I've Got Small Hands]

Not the worst idea in the world to walk Edwin.

[Aggies7]

6 straight balls for wimmers.

[twins_89]

So, in the first two games against the team we're competing with for the lead in the AL central our starting pitchers have combined for 8 IN, 17 H, 7 BB, and 14 ER (15.75 ERA). It's hard to see the Twins staying in the race without doing something to improve the starting rotation.

[Bark's Lounge]

God grant me Stephen Gonsalves
to accept the things that are Stephen Gonsalves;
courage to call up Stephen Gonsalves;
and wisdom to start Stephen Gonsalves.

Amen

[Aggies7]

think pelfrey might come back?

[Huddy]

think pelfrey might come back?

He looked solid vs Toronto today.

[Aggies7]

He looked solid vs Toronto today.

of course he did

think pelfrey might come back?

It's a sad day when Pelfrey is a clear upgrade.

[Huddy]

Vargas should just give up on hitting RH

[Aggies7]

gladden going over the most recent top draft picks for the twins.

it's not going well.

[USAFChief]

We should, in all fairness, remember that if the Twins do lose game one, they'll be tied for first in the ALC.

It's not "season over."

[DocBauer]

I'm starting to really wonder how Adrianza was available.

[Blake]

Are we having fun yet?

I'm not, because I'm freaking stuck at work and I'm too damn old to be working effing overtime.

How's everyone else?

[Danchat]

Adrianza has been a big upgrade on DanSan so far. I'm impressed with him so far.

[DocBauer]

So you're saying there's a chance.......

[Circus Boy]

Be fun to vulture a win here.

[Whammy]

This ump's zone is TERRIBLE!

It's not "season over" until after tonight's game.

FTFY.

[Whammy]

Walking the 8/9 batters is not the way to stay at the majors

[ashbury]

This ump's zone is TERRIBLE!

Wasn't that the consensus last night too?

[Whammy]

Wasn't that the consensus last night too?

Perhaps, but FoxTracks is making this guy look silly
