glunn Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Are you in any way... an arch nemesis of hers. If it you are... it won't be good. I would like to be an arch nemesis of Supergirl. I would never tire of her capturing me.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 If I drive fast I can see the 9th inning... I just found the game. It was not on the guide, but they are carrying it. Thank you for inspiring me to check every channel!Up hear, the games are usually around channel 729. I usually have to search a bit around 729 before I find the game. Nice thing though is that if DTV is having issues, I can always use mlb.tv as an alternate. Nice to have it included with the Direct TV package.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Sorry. I could be dead by then. I think this is a horrible attitude when you are in first place and "in the playoffs" in the middle of June! This kind of attitude never wins championships, but always looks to the rosy future. The Cubs weren't "ready" last year either, until they were. Nobody is ready, until they are, and what makes them ready, is that they get in the playoffs and start/keep winning. There is a reason that other teams jettisoned Turley and Wilk after more investment and patience than the Twins have had to invest. If you are just waiting for next year, or some other year, like the Nats when they didn't use Strasburg - how has that worked out? - you will be a Connie Mack competitive but no World Series titles. Yeah. Chill. How about heating up?Are you suggesting the Twins have a Strasburg or some such fabulous talent that sits unused in the minors? If so, by all means let's bring 'em up! However, if you will recall last season, we did bring up our most fabulous talent, Jose Berrios. He pitched horribly, as rookies sometimes do. We are now seeing some of that from other guys that are rookies or inexperienced, like Turley and Wilk. I have no objection to bringing up Hildenberger, Melotakis, Curtiss, etc. But if you expect them to catch fire immediately, you could be very disappointed. If anything, Nick Turley looked like almost a sure thing, didn't he? Great ERA and K/BB rate in AA, so good the Twins brought him up with the assurance that he'd get more than one start. As is typical with rookies, his pitch chart indicates his heart rate - out of control. Heart rate is actually a big factor in why the Twins stick with declining talent like Belisle and Breslow. These guys may not have the dazzling stuff they used to, but one thing they have on the mound is a cool head. That's why they might give up one or two runs per inning, but usually not four or five (besides the buzz saw Breslow faced in Houston). I'm with you that I want the Twins to "Get on with it!" as Monty Python might say. But let's not pretend the rookies in AAA and AA won't blow up, just like Turley did. And when that happens, don't be surprised if the Twins suddenly find themselves ten games out of the race.

Looks like they toned down the physical attributes because men can't help themselves I assumei have seen the movie. She is so gorgeous in the movie my teeth hurt. Linda carter was bustier, but this new one has amazing beauty and a fantastic body

Turley put up some nice stats in AAA, but that was a very small sample size plus he's become a journeyman for a reason. We've had plenty of rookies have rough patches, but I don't really see Turley as a traditional "rookie". He's more of a AAA lifer who had a good two months in AAA.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 It's a bummer of a day. But very unsurprising. The worst part is that Cleveland hasn't exactly thrown their studs either

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Just watching some of the first game today. Adam Wilk belongs in the International League, pitching for an opponent of the Saints. That would be fun.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Get some runs quick, boys, before it rains again.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 The Indians aren't this much better than the Twins, but it's amazing how a team that's hot and one that's not can look like men against boys.

I'm seeing awful pitching by the Twins.
