David HK Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Wow, Cleveland brings in their closer in the seventh to face Buxton. Respect!I think it's maybe to get him some work. Cleveland probably feels they're not going to need their closer at any point in this series.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 I like this kid's style. His control comes from not moving anything that doesn't need to move. Comes to an exact set, on balance, lift the knee just enough, then drive and flip.... Whoops, a night of firsts for Busenitz! Don't hang curves to the pros, baby!

David HK Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 See, this is the kind of year I was hoping for. Get some young'uns up here, and let 'em feel their way through things. Let them understand that the stuff they got whiffs on down on the farm, big leaguers foul off. So he gives up a dinger. He had a heck of a battle with a terrific hitter. I liked having Rosario up from 'Nooga, too. He got lit, but he got a taste, and a better idea of what to work on. At this point, the Twinks younger hitters are getting ABs up in the bigs, and some of them are progressing well. The pitchers, though, are being held back. Running out the retreads time and again, picking up waiver wire meatballers, that ain't gettin' it done for me.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Golly, does Miggy make that coming in from 3rd play as well as anyone in the bigs right now? Forgive me, y'all, for still having indigestion over that RF insanity last year.

Busenitz will get a lot of guys out with that quick delivery and mid-90's heat. Hopefully his curve will get better once he settles down a bit.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Sparkling coincidences-- Busenitz and Buxton are both from Georgia. Earlier today, USA rugby got pwned by Georgia. In Fifth-Third Bank Stadium---- in Georgia.
