Game Thread: Twins vs Rockies, 5/18/17 @ 6:10 PM CT

[David HK]

It would be nice if we could take out a starter after a terrific game, and have somebody, anybody out there in the BP who we're not quaking about bringing in.

[TwinsCD]

In this case, I think it was time to pull him.  After he threw the 3-0 pitch for a strike to the last batter, he kinda shook his right arm.  You don't want to leave a guy in there to possibly give up a BS hit that might dirty a great start.  Keep his confidence high!

[Aggies7]

I wonder what LaTroy called other guys when he was younger?

[LaBombo]

I think you mean Yukon. You know, in Yellowknife.

No more moosejawing about Canada, please.

[spinowner]

That fly ball nervoused me a little.

[Aggies7]

My goodness my bald head broke into quite the sweat there

[SwainZag]

Whew.

[Jerr]

Geesh!!!!!!!                    Too, close!!!!!!

Is there a bacon conservation society?

Maybe there should be?

I am guardedly optimistic of avoiding a sweep this series...

[Darius]

Haven't seen a Twins pitcher throw a baseball that well since pre-elbow Liriano. I was convinced that I might die before I see another utterly dominant performance like that out of a Twin.

That was fun watch.

Gotta be honest here....I don't get the fuss about bacon. It's good, sure, but much overrated in my opinion

Have you ever had good bacon?

[USAFChief]

Great job, Jose!  Keep it up*, please.

*7+ IP every fifth day, zero runs allowed.

[David HK]

Ooooooo... Kepler.

Now let's get DAS INSURANCE, JAH?

[USAFChief]

Pelfrey didn't do anything for you?

[Pardon My Dinger]

Have you ever had good bacon?

Everybody's had good bacon. All bacon is good. Doesn't mean it belongs on every single salad and sandwich and pizza and burger and...

[LaBombo]

8th inning, only 2 runs up, 105 pitches, and there's... booing about Molitor coming out to the mound to take the ball from the kid after he pitches a gem like this?

Do those people consider it an obligatory sign of appreciation, like loud belching after your German host serves an especially fine schnitzel but you're waaay too full for thirds, or do they really think it's a bad idea to pull the kid?  I know it's the 2nd game of a double header, but they used ONE relief pitcher.

//furiously searches the forum rules for some obscure rule which would allow an automatic banning...

[David HK]

Oh, my, this Estevez looks like he could throw that speed-ball by ya, make ya look like a fool, yeh.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Come on, insurance run! Get that Kepler home!

[LaBombo]

BOO!!! Leave him in!

The disappointment--nay, disgust in Dick's voice over Escobar not sac bunting almost made me cry.

I'm not your buddy, friend!

It was like he'd been slapped by a glove and challenged to a duel over a breach of baseball etiquette.

[Aggies7]

Have you ever had good bacon?

Sure, but most bacon is greasy, wouldn't you agree? Not saying it's bad just not something I seek out. Bacon jumped the shark a long time ago.

I "conserve" bacon most days.

[70charger]

Wait, conserve means eat right?
