So Robbie saves the bacon after a "productive out" from Dozey...

Doubled our lead!  Yay!

And, oh, what a tragedy, being blocked at "work."  I am seriously impressed with that young man on the mound.  Oh, please, let him have figured some things out for the long term!

Grossman is an OBP guy.

If they won't walk him he will even resort to getting a hit!

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Hm.  5 hits, 5 walks, 2 runs.

Those are ominous stats.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........!  I'm feeling haunted!

I'm sorry, but it is a little strange how methodically Berrios appears to wipe his thumb on the bottom of his brim...not necessarily sayin,' but I am just sayin.'

He's got a rabbit's foot under there. It's working too.

That has a familiar ring to it. I'll have to check the archives....

This is the Berrios we've been waiting for.

I only hope the Rockies get one more legit base hit, so Dozier's inability to get to that grounder isn't the difference.

He's also got this thing, where he looks in to see what Castro is signaling, and then grips the baseball in a certain way and throws it to a particular spot :)

Dozier was never the fleetest infielder, but fairness in reporting Dozier did dive and it was out of his reach

They should have let Rosario play instead of Buxton because Rosario can really punish those balls outside the strike zone.

I forgot to thank Dick Bremer an inning ago for putting the jinx on Berrios's nono by mentioning it. Nice one.

Didn't seem to work for him last year....

Chatwood is also doing the same thing, so does that make Berrios' game legit if the other pitcher is also cheating? I think so.

I would think you'd have to be pretty dumb to put it on your hat, and go to it after every single pitch, if you're really going to "cheat." I'd go on the seam between the webbing and the palm of my glove, where my fingers end up before every pitch, myself.

I am absolutely not saying he's got goop on his hat. Just saying that it is suspect, because it's peculiar. But I don't really suspect any foul play.

His range is very minimal when compared to top tier defensive middle infielders... and it's showing a lot more this year

Doziers value is built almost entirely upon his ability to hit homers while playing an acceptable second base. Take the homers away, and he is below league average.

Is it actually cold enough to wear one of those winter hood things Alfonso Marquez is wearing? Good lord mid 90s heat index here today
