Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 One swing of the bat and Molitor goes from questionable to genius. Good job, Mr. Escobar!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 That's a perfect description! From now on I'm going to refer to my ex-wife as 'Birdhouse'. I'm equal parts falling over in laughing and horrified at the same time.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Okay, question for you all: Which is more important, the game or the game thread?* *Answers will be graded on Laughter, not objectivity
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 If you live in a place where it's still snowing, your opinion doesn't count I know... It is actually snowing and snowing significantly... Might be a two or 3 inches. I put up the Christmas tree at work to lighten the mood.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I'm equal parts falling over in laughing and horrified at the same time. Spot on again! It's like you lived next door to us!
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I put up the Christmas tree at work to lighten the mood. I think it's fine to get it up a little early. December will be here before you know it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I will stand with you as I too, like ketchup with steak.....but ice cream???? Never have tried it and probably never will, even with a stick lol lol Ice cream is good on anything!!! One day I wanted an ice cream sandwich and one of the kids took the last one and he was laughing at me... Ha Ha... I got the last one. So I grabbed some plain ole Vanilla Ice Cream... Grabbed a couple slices of Wonder Bread and I made a bigger one. It tasted great!!!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Didn't Joey Gallo get gunned down in clam bar in New York?
DrNeau Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Gallo taking absolute monster hacks up there.

70charger Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 (Sorry this is so late, but it was utterly ludicrous what I had to do to get this created/uploaded.)
David HK Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I'm guessing no more TJ Swan. (you do know TJ Swan is no longer on the market and those bottles from the local dollar store probably haven't aged, well, right?) Probably being paid with Colt 45 Malt Liquor fresh from the AMPM.OMG- now there's a blast from the past. I remember a few 'easy nights' and 'mellow daze' from a few bottles of that back in high school. I fact, that memory just engendered a little reflection....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Okay, question for you all: Which is more important, the game or the game thread?* *Answers will be graded on Laughter, not objectivity It's like asking what is more important... The Car or the Gas
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Sometimes you can get away with 20+ pitch innings all the way until you get to your pitch count and still be effective. Sometimes.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Santiago must have watched Cashner pitch last night. There was discussion that Santiago tends to leave a lot of runners on base and whether that was skill or luck. Either way it is continuing tonight.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 It's like asking what is more important... The Cars or the Gas Is that... like a trick question or something?
Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Yes.Grade: c+ (you ninja'd chief on this one, so, not bad)
David HK Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 OK, does this qualify for a CBU-type deal? I just absolutely do not get, and have never gotten, why we have had both Messrs. Escobar and DSantana on the roster at the same time. For me, (and I suspect for a handful of others), Mr. Escobar has it in spades over Mr. DSan, and they are able to cover exactly the same number of positions defensively. Now, I don't want to see either of them in the outfield at any time, but this is among the biggest wtf moves the Twinks have made in recent years.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 It's like asking what is more important... The Car or the GasHey, it's obvious the car is more important than the gasoline. A Lamborghini sitting at the curb looks fast while sitting still. No gasoline? Same thing. Sorry, c- with that answer.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Depends, what's the game?B+ for the reference to us oldsters. I've gotta go with 5 card stud, myself. Or Blackjack.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 One swing of the bat and Molitor goes from questionable to genius. Good job, Mr. Escobar! Can I give him an interim grade of 'questionable genius' on this whole '.679 OPS middle infielder-as-DH' thing until we know a little more?
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Grade: c+ (you ninja'd chief on this one, so, not bad)I admit I took it from him, I would be afraid to ninja'd him or get into his mind, frightening just thinking that..............
David HK Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Hm. Delino singles, sharply, it says. On base again, leading off. I wonder if this has the makings of a "Snapper Give-the-lead-back" inning? Or am I just naturally pissimistic? (sic)
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 B+ for the reference to us oldsters. I've gotta go with 5 card stud, myself. Or Blackjack.I thought you referring to "us oldsters" was you referring to "depends"

David HK Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Y'know, over here on this side of the big lake, and with all the day games, I haven't been able to follow much. But holy cow, looking at the BA's in that Ranger lineup, sheesh! 'Dey worse 'den us, like by a lot! The only guy above water there is that catcher Chirinos, (which, coincidentally, was my go-to dish at Tommies back in LA).
Twinsoholic Verified Member Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 When Santiago gets a strikeout I kind of forget about the walks. There have not been too many Ks though. Tonight he seems to be "pitching to contact."
