Last year through 20 games, the Twins were 8 games below .500, at 6-14.

How about sneaking over the 500 mark tonight, boys?  I know that the traditional winning fare is chicken, but for getting over 500, can we order up some brisket?

Begs the question, what do we order if we ever win a playoff game or series?

Edit: There is no timeframe on this mythical playoff win.

Buxton has looked much better at the plate. I'm ready to see him break out tonight with a 4-5 HR, 2 2B, 3B, 5 RBI.

I watched them (remember over the air tv games?) on a tv my dad built, does that count?

Sure. And I absolutely could see your dad doing this.

So I guess Kepler is the odd man out against lefties, and that's a very bad decision in my opinion.

May as well make it 5-5 with a single, so he can complete the cycle.

Hmmmm, that's not my preference.

This is what makes America great, despite who the President is.

OK, next question.  What condiments are allowed on a steak without insulting the cook?

At the Del Monte household it would be ketchup and come to think of it, the Hunt's household also. Probably different brands, depending on which household.

I have been to Texas (too often) and to the Alamo. And for the life of me I cannot understand why Davey Crocket didn't leave Santa Ana keep both? Hopefully when Texas does secede from the Union, Vanimal takes that job offer from KQ and replaces Terry Traen!

. Your "edit" outlines the entire Twins orginisations operational philosophy over the last, er decade or so!

You know my dad (that's actually a serious question, since he was a big shot at Honeywell)?

Yeah, my wife worked for him in the late 80's, as a QA tech. I was in the Systems Engineering group, but heard Doug speak many times. Met your mom, too, at one or another of the holiday parties.

We were mostly at the Minnetonka facility, where he was based in Edina, if I recall correctly

This lineup (somewhat) was discussed in another post. I know Robbie is hot right now, but it just doesn't seem to be MLB with him wearing a glove. I know walks happen, but why they nibble to him is beyond me. He just doesn't chase, and is really not a good enough hitter to scare anyone.

My daughter does that... just wrong.  I'm convinced she isn't my kid.

I'd say horseradish (or varieties of it) without question.  That's about it though.  Had a prime rib today at a place called SaltGrass.  Their Southwest sauce consists of horseradish, mayo, sriracha, and a little bit of cilantro... it was good.

My two sons both eschew Tabasco and the like in favor of sriracha. That sauce sounds yummy.

I'm totally in favor, because if he gets 5 AB's in the 9-hole that means the entire offense is having a good night.
