Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Buxton is pulling his head. A lot. On every swing. And on non-swings he's not watching the ball either. He needs to sit until he can re-learn the "keep your eye on the ball" rule we all learn in Little League.Seems to me Buxton's agent needs to push harder for that TiVo so he can catch up on the MLB network crew's analyses.
Guest Guests Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Got to give Phil Hughes credit for totally changing how he pitches. Let's hope he either gets his velocity back or turns into Brad Radke.
WLFINN Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Either he's going to have a short and bad career or a really unique one.How do you catch a unique deer? U neak up on it
big dog Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 This year's version of Phil Hughes, whatever I might think right now, is a lot better than what I expected four weeks ago.
Guest Guests Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 No second Meat Loaf reference? I'm disappointed.Don't be sad.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 As some of you know, I've been on the hunt for a new dog recently.... Well, I bought a new dog from the local blacksmith yesterday! As soon as I got her home, she made a bolt for the door.....
big dog Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Don't be sad. You'll never find a ruby in a mountain of rocksand there ain't no Coupe De Villehiding in the bottom of a Cracker Jack box. Sheer poetry. Unlike Zimmerman's command of the strike zone.
big dog Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Betting Mauer walks here Unless he tries to bunt the first pitch WTF? Wow. Mauer offered at 2 out of 3 pitches. Really?

Twodogs Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 This year's version of Phil Hughes, whatever I might think right now, is a lot better than what I expected four weeks ago.I think that if this year's version of Phil Hughes was pitching last year he would be getting killed with outfielders such as Arcia, Sano and Santana playing on a regular basis. It just seems to me that Buxton, Kepler and Rosario are not hitting like everyone would like them to be at this point in time, but they sure make our pitchers look better.
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 This would be a good time for Kepler's first HR of 2017.

DrNeau Verified Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Twins 3Tigers 2Inning - top 5Outs:1Runner on 1st Mauer tries to bunt. Wow. 2 outfielders on the left side of the field and 1 outfielder in right center, and he winds up popping up to short left center. They are giving him the majority of right field and he continues to hit it to the left side. What is going on with him? Is he incapable of hitting anything to the right side besides a chopper?

That's often what happens when you try to pull an outside pitch.

From what I've seen, yes.
