diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 I call into this show looking for scoops. You have to have some good ones here. I'm thinking TC Bear is behind this in some way. Moderatorgate has to be a drop in the bucket between what is going on right now. Don't you think?

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 What do you mean diehard? Did something happen today? You've been drinking on the job, or need to fire the intern. Bit of a Coup d'état in the Twins front office with Terry Ryan stepping down. You have such good scoops. Clearly there's a scandal needing uncovering. You're just the guy.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 What do you mean diehard? Did something happen today? Hey, the show is back!! Long time fan but wondered if the show was canceled, sort of like the Twins season. Anyway, yes, something did happen today. It turns out Molitor will be manager through 2017. I'm not sure it's wise, but, there it is. Your take?

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 ANND Welcome back! To Minnesota Twins Whine Line. It's been a while since we last checked in with you. The intern is finally bathing again after the TR news. Poor guy didn't see it coming... Since the TR firing news broke, we've been DEEP undercover trying to find out the real reasons why he was let go. Most people think it was an argument between TR and Pohlad. Or one big thing happened that caused this friction. We're here to tell you different. It wasn't just a big event that caused this to happen, it was a bunch of SMALL things... We asked the janitor at One Twins Way to get the real scoop. The janitor would like to remain anonymous, for obvious reasons once you read the DIRT below:They changed to a Keurig coffee machine: For 30 years, TR has been brewing his morning cup of coffee in the same machine. He knew exactly what it took to make a great cup of joe. What grounds to use, how much to use, and how long it should be brewed for. This spring, Jim Pohlad made an impulse purchase of a Keurig machine, and TR HATED it! The coffee grounds he bought are no longer relevant. He didn't know how to lift the lever and insert the K cup in order to get coffee. As the janitor said, "It was a TOTAL SYSTEM FAILURE."They changed telephone providers: TR was also used to the same phone in his office for 30 years. It was trustworthy and reliable. He didn't feel the need to have a bunch of BUTTONS on his phone. Just the normal numbers and a hold button. They tried making TR feel at home by purchasing a vintage looking phone with 2016 technology capabilities! http://images.creativegadgets.com/images/products/1385642252-90179500.jpg But no one from IT gave TR a proper training on the new technology. Is that why he waits for people to call him??!!They forgot his work anniversary: This may have been the straw that broke the camel's back. Every year on TR's work anniversary, the front office was round up for a party with cake! Last year they had a party, but there wasn't enough cake for everyone, documented below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctOBMFznktoHow sad is that when you don't even get a slice of cake for your OWN work anniversary? Well, things got worse this year. There was no party! And worst of all, no cake!! 2 years in a row with no cake?! Anyone would be upset.I hope this all helps as you're discussing why TR asked to be fired from this team. Let's take some calls in the order that they were received. You're on Minnesota Twins Whine Line, hello?
Rosterman Verified Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Why do the Minnesota Twins players get all those hits during batting practice, but once the game starts, they seem to fall into an admiration society of watching the other teams cue off Twins pitching and mutter "I wish I could do that." Do they all want to be traded to other teams so they can face the Twins pitching staff? Plus I hear some commenting "another half billion and we could've had a canopy on Target Field."

Do they all want to be traded to other teams so they can face the Twins pitching staff? Plus I hear some commenting "another half billion and we could've had a canopy on Target Field."Thanks for the call Rosterman. Isn't it amazing how when it's practice, and nothing's on the line, everything works out perfectly? Then when it actually matters, everything you did in practice goes out the window. That's how it's been going for ol' Vanimal on the golf course lately too! On the driving range, all of the drives are right down the pipe and I think "Nothing's gonna stop me now!" Then as soon as we get out on the course, all of a sudden the drives are pushed to the left, topping the ball, or hitting it out of bounds... I feel for our Twins and their struggles! There could be other motives to face Twins pitchers instead of be on a team with them. Heck, I'd want to raise my slash line too against the Pat Deans and Tyler Duffeys of the world too!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 why is boshers in MN, and not Chargois?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 The intern is finally bathing again after the TR news. Poor guy didn't see it coming... TR or the intern or the bath tub?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 why is boshers in MN, and not Chargois?Another great question Mike. Mr. Brooks mentioned in another thread that perhaps Buddy is more lovable than Chargois. We think he's on to something, since we know being lovable is one of the most important traits the Twins look for in their organization. Buddy is a lovable LEFTY too! We can never have too many left handed pitchers in the rotation, or the bullpen.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 TR or the intern or the bath tub?All 3 would fit in this scenario!

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 Why the f is this place so serious? It is a site for talking about sports.... I'll hang up and listen ....We're starting off with a HOT take! It's just like riding a bike again for the show... We at Minnesota Twins Whine Line believe this site should always be fun! Whenever it does get too serious, it's important to realize that sports are here for entertainment, not a way of life... Some people really do take sports too seriously. Take the Intern for example! I caught him sobbing the other night because the White Sox make rebuilds look easy, and he lost game 7 of the WS in MLB The Show. It was devastating.... But to settle him down, I showed him Dave's thread that Dozier will be traded, and he smiled a little bit. Don't worry Mike, you're in the right place. Sit back, have a drink, and enjoy the show!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 If this wasn't my real name, I could mention I'm working from home today, and drinking is possible.....so I won't mention that..... ****edit, to my employers: of course I'm not drinking. That would not be appropriate while working.....

It didn't take long to get to the HARD HITTING questions now that the show is back. How silly are we talking? Cats that jump up on counter tops? Spin around on a wood floor? THESE DETAILS MATTER.
