Hey Whine Line, LOVE THE SHOW!! And thanks SO MUCH for taking MY CALL!

Question? What's my question? Oh, sorry, I was so surprised that I got through, I forgot that I was actually supposed to ask a question. So, here goes:

What's your take on the Twins claiming Neil Ramirez and then tossing him into the fray against the Mighty Angels of Anaheim of California of the United States of North America?

Thanks, I'll hang up and listen to your response.

Hey Blake. Thanks for calling in. I appreciate your excitement. It's you callers that make MN Twins Whine Line great!

My take is pretty simple actually. I am pretty certain Molitor sent Ramirez out there in the ninth to reward Giavotella, who at this point in the game was 3 for 3, with a Homerun. That makes sense to me.

This is great advice! I have a family in mind already to stalk for a week and find the right time to steal the dog.

Since we're an expansion dog family, there's a couple of routes we can take:

Go for the prospect dog... but that would take a good coaching staff to develop him or her into a good dog.

Go for the young, on the rise dog. It may have learned some tricks already and potentially house trained! But that usually requires a bigger investment.

Go for the established dog on the decline. We already know what the dog can do, and it's living out the glory years under a fat contract.

What's your take?

As long as you are going the kidnapping route, and I stress the importance of that. I think the young, on the rise dog is the best route to take. If you want the good stuff, it's better to make the bigger investment!

"Neil did well. He threw the ball hard. One of the better beards on the team."

This is, uh, Terry. From, uh, Minneapolis. Long time critic, last time caller. I would just like to point out that Ramirez has a BABIP for the Twins of .000, carrying on with the record of success he showed at Milwaukee. A pitcher literally can not be better than this, right? I think we, I mean the team's front office, should be commended for this pickup.

Van, or Bark.....

Now that the site has devolved into really getting on the FO.....I find myself actually defending them some now. I am uncomfortable defending people that I think are largely not doing a good job, but I also think it is unfair to say they have no plan, or no idea what they are doing, or whatever......should I just not come to this part of Twins Daily anymore?

Thanks for the call, Mike. It's certainly a weird dynamic this year now that essentially every one and their mothers want to see the FO gone. Is some of the criticism valid? Of course! Some of it, like you said, is pretty unfair. I suppose that's what happens when group think takes over, and no one wants to take over Negativity Police's duties of keeping the peace. Perhaps that could be you!

There's plenty of places on the site to avoid the negativity. For example, your magnificent thread, Food and Other Such Holidays! You won't see any ripping of the FO on that thread, and talk about great food and drinks! Or Whine Line, where you can hear SCORCHING Hot Twins takes that mean absolutely nothing! Or Dave's masterpiece thread, Minnesota Simpsons Thread! The options are endless...

Meatball Sliders?

Yes. And for one dollar we will give you the exact amount of sliders that were mashed that day. :) or all you can eat whichever is less

It's a win win for everyone! When opponents are mashing meat balls, so will the fans!

Vanimal long time listener 52nd time caller. Or was it 53? Let me think, hmm,m,m, oh what the hell. My question is there anyway we could see Dave the Saint come up with a discount formula for food. Say 10% off for every FA scrap heap that TR puts on the field. Kind of a mea culpa for the season and a admission that this isn't really MLB. Also a one time 20% discount whenever one of the IF as too slow afoot to get out of the way in a rundown.

Van, are you sure that was our Mike, or that he is not being forced to type this? Did you notice any stress in the typing. I do think it's possible his account was hacked. This is the second post I saw him make assuming the FO has a plan? He was either hacked, or ate too many meatball sliders. Something is amiss.

These are all fantastic ideas Platoon! We are adding them to the proposal as we speak along with the new food items. I do believe you're forgetting about one fatal flaw.. When do the Pohlad's hand out discounts?? They may look for discounts on the field, but when it comes to fans? FULL PRICE no refunds.

Unfortunately we don't have the technology or the work ethic to hack into the camera on Mike's computer to know for sure. Is it possible that Mike is living off of his old title of "Would like to be more positive" ? Potentially... We think it's more likely that all of his posts are sent to a third party vendor for editing purposes. We tracked down that third party vendor, and discovered their address....

I haven't forgotten the Pohlads.nor sadly will anyone soon! But on to a more toxic topic! Local media! Whine Line is the only place I can come for true unfettered analysis of theTwins. (I don't like to add the MN to their name, it's not fair to the state) regardless I think local media is a fawning bunch of apologists for the team. Endless trips to the press buffet have not only expanded their waistlines it has tempered their opinions. Note this headline from the Trib! "Twins show their best again against Angels"! Yes it was an overpowering victory led by the Angels. And if you saw the game, you know that was not a typo! I am seriously thinking of calling the Trib, and telling them that if I had a subscription, I would cancel it. That oughta get their attention!

Oh, it's really me.* I just think that while the FO has completely failed, and isn't qualified anymore to have their jobs, that there is a plan. It just isn't working**

*so I say

**maybe it is, maybe they are really on a 7 year plan, and just haven't admitted it.....

Yo! Whine Line! Hey, great show toDAY!! WOW, talk about some insight. Meatball sliders down the center of the dish! That's a hot scoop if I ever heard one!

Anyway, just wanted to call in and offer some congratulations and I look forward to the next show!!

By the way, are you in syndication talks yet? Anyone tried to hire the intern away from you? And what's the formula for your success?

Speaking of success, can you explain why the Twins are 7-3 against the AL West? I mean, that's a winning record which is hard to believe, all things considered.

I'll hang up and listen for your insightful commentary. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the call, Blake. This was a strong show today. Dare I say it was the best show in months?

I suppose now is as good of a time as ever to break this news. We currently ARE in syndication talks. According to WCCO, Whine Line is next in line to take over the Sports Huddle with Sid and Dave! Pending on Sid Hartman's retirement. We anticipate that happening within the next 25 years....

I can't speak on the Intern's behalf if he's been recruited by other radio stations, but he looks happy! Who else would give him a Playstation and MLB The Show to research hot Twins takes?

Recipe for success? Get ready for the cliché answer... it's listeners like you! I wouldn't have much fun just talking to myself...

To answer your Twins question, hear me out. The Twins play in the central time zone most of the time. When they head out west, they're automatically 2 hours ahead of their competition! Is it possible that they're able to look 2 hours ahead and see that this is a game they can win? I think so!

You whine line... just some advice as an expert in dogs and dog houses... get the biggest dog you can find.  not some overgrown rat with fur that has a complex because it knows it's small.  I'm talking a big old Malamute.  Don't listen to the lady's advice here.  Get a real dog.

ANND Welcome Back! To another episode of Minnesota Twins Whine Line. Hey the Twins won yesterday! That's pretty neat. I wonder if they can win 2 games in a row? The threads are HEATING UP with scorching hot takes.... If Miguel Sano wasn't so hefty, would he have tweaked his hamstring? Is losing Arcia the worst thing that's happened in Twins franchise history? Zach Jones is back! Does anyone care?

We've got a special giveaway today!! Caller #5 is going to receive 2 passes for "Cookin' with Chief!" A day where Chief will show you how to make his famous medium rare steak, along with a complimentary seat on his leather recliner to watch a Twins game! How kind of Chief to offer this once in a lifetime prize.

Let's hit the phone lines and see what people want to talk about. You're on Minnesota Twins Whine Line, hello?

Does Chief pick up the cost to fly to AZ?  If so, I'm in.

So for my question...  well, what do you suppose we could get for Trevor Plouffe?  I keep checking TD daily for something indicating a trade was made.  I'm thinking Tyler Glasnow from Pittsburg should be good.  Do you think we'd need to throw in Brian Duensing to make it work?

Thank you for the call diehard. Because this is a new giveaway, Chief is not responsible for the cost of the flight to AZ. That's being picked up by Brock!

To answer your question about Plouffe, his trade value is the highest it's been in months! He's currently riding a 3 game hit streak, with no signs of slowing down. The Whine Line investigation team found a source inside the telephone company, and we've learned that TR's phone has been ringing off the hook! That could only mean one thing.... Plouffe is about to be traded. Glasnow is a good person to target, but without Duensing it's going to be tough to pull off. Personally I would target Danny Salazar, and see if the Indians bite on the deal of a lifetime!

When TR said Sano's future was not the OF....

Is it at 3B?

DH?

Does his future not being the OF start when he returns, or next year?

Thank you for the call, Mike. In regards to your question, I think back to the college graduation ceremony where alumni or special guests say the same thing... "The future is up to you" So if Sano wants to be a 3B, he can do it! Also, considering that the Twins are not a young team, and we're all getting older by the second, why can't the future be right now?

When he gets back from his injury, let's put Sano at 3B and watch the magic happen!

Hey, Whine Line! BIG BIG FAN HERE AND YOU DUDES LIKE TOTALLY TOTALLY ROCK!!!

Speaking of rockin' do you think Arcia will rock the same hairstyle with his new team? For that matter, do you think Arcia will get a new team?

As for the Plouffester and his three game streak, wow, that should really move the old trade-value dial. Especially if a contending team is desperate. Are there any desperate contenders on the horizon?

Speaking of Sano, think there might be a "Sano" rule? As in "Sano blocking 3B?"

Well, that's all I got. KEEP ON ROCKIN' DUDES!! YEARGGGHHHHHH!!!

Thank you for the call, Blake. I LOVE YOUR ENTHUSIASM FOR THE SHOW!!

In regards to Arcia's hair, we know a couple of things about athletes - they're superstitious, and they need a routine, or else all hell breaks loose. The faux hawk may look COOL and EDGY, but it didn't serve him well during his time in Minnesota. So we think it's time he changes it up. There's a couple of routes he can go:

- The Mr. Clean look: no longer will he have to worry about how his hair looks. It's all gone!

- Back to the 90's look: Remember when we thought frosted tips looked cool? Arcia can start that trend again!

80's Hair Band Look: This look may take a year or 2 to look good, but in time it could look pretty awesome under a baseball hat.

The desperate teams we can think of who may want Plouffe are the Yankees and Mets. Let's make it happen!

Hey Van. It's your biggest fan and mediocre fill-in calling you for some much needed advice.

I have been suffering from some kind of disorder of late, it's weird, I'll try to explain it the best I can. I am starting to grow hair on the palms of my hands and my eye site is getting worse by the day.

I am beside myself on this one. Have you ever heard of this before? I am starting to get freaked out.

Also, I have heard that Danny Santana is a great Merengue Singer, don't you think it would be wise for him to get out of this dead end racket we call major league baseball and chase his true and more fulfilling dream?

I'll hang up and wait for your response.

I have not first hand knowledge, but I believe Van is likely hiding under his IKEA desk. I am not sure he would be interested in talking to a nearsighted werewolf. :). As for Santana, I prefer Merenque Pie to Merenque singers.
