Platoon Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 A hot dog, split, with some cheese in it, and wrapped in bacon. Kinda like pigs in a blanket without the blanket. Yummy. But I am surprised that no one has mentioned the epitome of gastrological excellence. I trip to the local convenience store for one of those tasty dogs off the roller machine. Wrapped in one of those fresh week old plastic wrapped buns from the drawer underneath, and a couple packets of Heinz ketchup squeezed unto your shirt. So tasty!
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 After you BOIL them and get them all prepared, throw some real cheddar on top and throw them under the broiler for a couple of minutes.......yowza!! Question, so do you carcinogenic hot dog fans prefer grilled bun or not grilled bun? Discuss. You gotta steam those buns!

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 And a plain white bun only I might add. Any place tries to serve me some whole wheat, multi grain something or other, I'm opening up a can of whoop ass!Disagree, completely.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 You gotta steam those buns! That is what you would call a "White Castle Hot Dog". Diarrhea here we come! Plop Plop Fizz Fizz oh what a relief it is.

Actually ... the best combo is both ... boil first to make sure cooked/heated through ... then throw 'em on the grill for that great look and taste.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Hey Van. Bark here. Love the show. LOVE IT!!! I have been troubled of late with some things, mainly Fanaticism v. Fandom When I read Twins Daily Threads, for the most part, it is really extreme, with individuals going at lengths to talk about the player's salaries and these players have a fairly good track record, but they have sucked this year. 4 months ago it was a good deal, I guess now it is not. Now they are gone. I believe we are all devout fans of the Twins, but there seems to be two school of thought. 1. Fanatics, that can never have their soul soothed when it comes to being negative about the Twins, no matter the outcome. and... 2. The objective fans, that are witness to the successes and failures of their favorite ball club, and criticize and complement their club on how the situation stands in the present time. I sure am passionate about baseball, but sometimes it does not go the way you want it to and you end up disappointed, but I still enjoy my life, baseball cannot quash that or lift me up to be a king. There is a huge faction among us TD members, who seem to be inquisitionists and lay waste to, and crucify players who don't live up to there expectations, this is concerning to me for all players, but especially the young guys. I think TD has turned into a partisan kind of country of sorts. Can we unite or must there be a civil war?
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Thanks for the quick answer! I must be a witch to know exactly the right time to call and not be on hold forever waiting like everyone else. Or else I'm just that special. No to Tinder. Feeling younger doesn't mean going back to the age of confident I know everything when I really know little to nothing. So that would also include the happy hour and shots thing. I'm not so old that I've forgotten what the morning after a night of tequila shots feels like. I've forgotten the night itself, but then I never remembered it. The tequila shots were preceded by some Long Island teas. Yes, some. So you can understand my memory lapse of that evening, but I still remember the morning after. Sky diving is a true rush! Been there, done that, highly recommend it. A puppy? Hmmm ... maybe a cat ... you know, one of those hard to adopt rescues. One day. Not ready for a new furbaby quite yet after losing my 21-yr-old. So, I think what this tells me is I need to just not watch so much baseball this summer! We got two puppies in 2011 to help cope with the horrible Twins, but now I wish we would have gotten two cats to pair with the two dogs we already had.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 ANNND Welcome Back! The Program Director gave me a firm warning that our audience will certainly take this show off the air with that last question. And I need this job! If you're curious in my top 3, ask me off the air... Who's next on Minnesota Twins Whine Line, intern?

I couldn't have explained the situation on this site better than that. It's an EPIDEMIC! We're all people that share the same interest... To watch a successful team, and enjoy a World Series title! I'm a lover, not a fighter, Bark. I don't want to see a civil war! In times of crisis, what we really need is a HERO! Who can save us from this madness? Frying them gives the skin a little more snap and greases them up a bit too.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 So Van... Not that the hotdog debate hasn't been interesting... and not I might have to figure out how to ban twinsnorth if he keeps up this nonsense about not grilling a hotdog and putting nasty toppings on it, but let's talk Twins a bit. Lots of big changes on the horizon. Fein is gone. Milone is gone. Mastro and Centeno are up. Murphy is down. Clearly there's a bigger scoop here, and I'm sure you have it.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Hey Van, the Twins releasing Casey Fein whilst simultaneously calling up Mastro has seemingly left me with a case of Vertigo. Any advice, or is the room just going to keep spinning?

Any advice, or is the room just going to keep spinning?Aha ... I can answer this one like a veteran neurologist: you should be okay if you give your brain a little time to adapt to these changes, but if that room is still spinning a week from now, I strongly recommend VRT.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Sooooo Vanimal... there's got to be some scorching hot takes on this current mess, right? Or is it really just that bad?
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Vannister. Normally I would not bother you on a Saturday, I know what's it like to be in charge. The interns get the weekend off and you have to show up and carry the load! The brutal life of an entrepreneur! But I received terrible news this morning. Another Twins loss? Robbie Grossman getting 3 f*^+ing hits? Trevor May reduced to pitching in the 6th inning, and I don't mean during a start? Audra not being at the game last night? Nope, none of the above. Far worse. Mr. Ed's owner, Willlbuuuurrr died! Tragic! He was only 96, which in horse years is, well actually I have no damn idea, but it seems young for a horse. But it wasn't just Willllbuuuuurrrrr that affected me, Mr Ed made me think of Hannahs horse, which made me think of Hannah, which made me think of . . ., well I think you get the picture. What do I do? I have been sitting in the SW corner of moms basement since right after Mays first pitch last night. Between the Twins games, the terrible news about Tink Larson field, the loss of Willllbuuuurrrr, and the abrupt disappearance of Hannah, I see no reason to go on. Can you offer any solace, comfort, hope?
