He really should sue his campaign staff for failure to control their client.

"Objection, your honor. My client was never a member of the campaign staff, since the only de facto staff member was the plaintiff himself."

This "rigged" election stuff drives me to distraction. There are so many layers to refute. Has the media favored Clinton? That's really a tough question. I know that many editorials have favored Clinton, but that is editorials. No person has ever gotten more free publicity than the Donald. As far as fixing the election, every election official should be incensed by that implication. I do expect voter fraud stories to arise and mostly be shot down. IMHO, the biggest voting issue is the blatant suppression brought on by the GOP.

Trump got tons of free publicity, probably set himself up for millions of dollars in reality TV programming for life and got to spout off all the hateful stuff he's wanted to say for years. I wouldn't be surprised to find out he never actually wanted to be president until Cruz, Rubio and company started saying he was unfit for the job, at which point his ego convinced him he DID want it.

Also, he probably shouldn't forget the bias Matt Lauer showed him, the threat of lawsuits the producer gave his employees if they leaked behind the scenes Apprentice tapes and the huge donations NBC/Universal gave to his "charity". There's certainly at least one media outlet that has subversively been backing Trump this whole time.

I voted today. Early voting polling places opened today. You could have already voted downtown at the city clerk's office, but the early polling places opened today. At 2pm on a Monday afternoon, it wasn't 'line out the door' crowded, but it was busy and my wait time was about 45 mins. But it's done. If something happens between now and then? Not sure it would change my mind at this point.

I voted by mail this weekend. I pretty much voted against any measures that change the law.....that is why we have a representative government, for representatives to pass laws....

I voted early in Arizona.  Maybe it's the much higher ratio of Trump-hat-wearing Tea Partiers....but I've never voted so many Dems in my life.

That sounds familiar, but I think you might be thinking of a different country's government. I'm pretty sure our representatives are elected to act cowardly and make sure nothing ever gets done with the hopes of not giving their opponent something to use against them in the next election.

I typically agree though, particularly on a municipal level. There shouldn't be votes on school bonding or building a new library. If the city leaders are too afraid of making that decision and offending the opposing citizens, they had no business trying to get elected in the first place.

I'm less opposed to measures aimed at social issues on a state level. It seems way too often the politicians need to see an actual majority of their constituents actually support LGBT rights before they suddenly have a revelation and think it's a good idea too.

In case anyone forgot about him, New Gingrich wanted to remind people he's still an awful person:

About the 6:20 mark is where most of the fireworks start but I'm linking the whole interview so as not to appear a cherry picker.

With attacks on Megyn Kelly by Trump, Ailes and Gingrich, I'd like to say it's just more evidence that the leaders of that party reject the idea that women can be a useful part of our society outside of the kitchen and bedroom. However it's probably just as likely that they attack her because they view her as a traitor who won't stay lock-step with the party and keep her mouth shut about things she doesn't like about Trump/the GOP, and it's only a coincidence that she's a woman.

My right wing friends have been saying how great Newt was there.....so, ya, I think we have issues in this country.

Well, yeah ... but I've known that just about my whole life.

How great he was? You serious? I don't think Newt is the symbol or designated speaker for the party. I really hope after this election the Republican party cleans their hands of trump and those that have contributed to his rise. They aren't uneducated, even if most of their voters are. I have to believe there is some sanity left in the party to help fill the void they've created the last 8 years. If they again double down, I have a hard time ever seeing them win an election.

They have to change the message. There is no choice. Their voting base is dying, and the new generation hates them.

Newt is yet another guy who sold his principles out to stay relevant with the party once Trump took over.  The guy has been one of the more reasonable guys on many issues (education comes to mind) but in this cycle he has sold out to the crazies.

That interview, good lord.

Where does it stop though? How, in the ****, do these people still have a voice? Why is Megan Kelly, the outcast for asking real questions? This party should be bending over backwards for this woman because of the journalistic credit she provides. Seriously, without her, fox news now would look a lot like a bunch of old white southerners.... draw parallels, it was intentional.

Why even have his dumb ass on when he behaves like that. I would get fired in my job. I wouldn't make millions and live like Newt, I can guarantee that. Why don't people wake up and see these people for what they are? I throw up in my mouth knowing that not long ago i supported this party up and down. Was i drinking cool aid? Or was the party actually based on balancing the budget, growing the economy, strong foreign policy, and ending corruption? I don't want to admit to being played.

They let the fringe take over because they thought opening the gates to them would strengthen them.  Well now it's a full on coup and the barbarians are already inside the gates.

Impressive.  I don't really have the appropriate words for this @^*@ fest.

There's also this:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/state-aide-sought-change-classification-clinton-email-42860301

'A senior State Department official asked the FBI last year to help reduce the classification of an email from Hillary Clinton's private server, according to FBI investigative files made public Monday. It was to be part of a bargain that would have allowed the FBI to deploy more agents in foreign countries, according to the files.'

From Carfardo's column:

Those who have known Epstein a long time have suggested him as a future Democratic US Senator from Illinois or Massachusetts. Epstein has never publicly stated any political aspirations, but some Democrats have said that Epstein would make an outstanding politician, one who could even consider a presidential run at some point.

Is anyone else getting a little bit nervous that the orange one might be our next president? I am checking on Canadian citizenship and early retirement. Not really, but....I do think the email news on Hillary has stopped her momentum and again made her the issue instead of Trump. Goodness what a pair to pick from.

I don't know if it's the emails so much as the growing realization that Obamacare is bad for a lot of people.  The premium hikes are coming for those on the exchange, but those effects have mainstreamed as well.  So unlike what is being sold to the public, we all know we're going to feel those hikes on our own insurance.

And I know there are tax breaks and all that, but that doesn't really ease the blow.  I tend to think that issue is the one really driving her decline in the polls.  I still think she wins, but it should be an eye opener to the Dems that they HAVE to get the issue fixed.  It's great that we insured a lot of people who needed it, but the middle (like always it seems) is getting squeezed to make it possible.
