  1. I concur our starting pitchers have been our key to our success ... I might need a lawyer some day , do you have the number of the law firm , Bundy - Archer and Winder you mentioned ...
  2. Lopez will start game 1 and gray will follow , I like Gray as the competitor he is to start game 2 ... It hasn't been the best ride for us Twins fans especially in the first half , the starters have definitely been solid and kept us in the games all year ( pitching wins , exce .... Lineup Getting better in the second half and playing good ball before the playoffs is a good recipe for success ...
  3. Good game today , the Twins put the wood to the ball and only struck out 4 times in the game ... Kepler was 0-9 coming into today's game and had 2 hits , Jeffers hit as well , nice to see him finally showing he can hit consistently , polanco the veteran did his part ... The 3 mentioned players above had something in common today , they each hit homeruns ... ryan gave us 6 good innings and struck out 10 while the bullpen got 6 more strikeouts for a total of 16 , good game by the staff , would have been nice to see paddack get into the game but rain interupted his chance after he warmed up to come into the game but the rains came and he was cooled down by the time the rains quit , hopefully against Oakland we can see paddack get his 2023 season going ... Would be nice for the team to win the last 6 games against Oakland and rockies ...
  4. Our position players rehabbing should just rehab all winter and be healthy for the spring , I just don't think they have proven they can help the major league club ... The club has done better without them ... Now Stewart could be of help on the pitching side ... Sad that the season has come to an end in the minor leagues , but all good things must come to an end ...
  5. I didnt read the article ... Why didn't I read the article , because they haven't accomplished anything yet , last year at the deadline the Twins were not contenders and they traded away prospects , this year they were only contenders in a weak division with a good starting rotation and they made no deadline trades ... Nothing they do ever makes any sense ... I will never cut this front office any slack , signing Gallo will go down as the worst player ever to wear a twins uniform ... They are not the smartest people in the room , what takes them so long to promote the prospects when they rave about how talented our farm system is , we added prospects and our season finally turned around enough to win the weak division ... They deserve no praise , the players in the second half of the season deserve the praise ...
  6. Why is it they can't score any runs when Sonny pitches ... Sure hope the tables turn for him in the playoffs and the lineup can support him with runs ... Sonny did a remarkable job pitching and staying healthy ... Yes , Sonny will definitely turn down the qualifying offer ...
  7. I don't know if an apology is needed but the way they played in the first half ( uninspiring baseball ) I never expected them to win the division , even in the weak central division ... After the Allstar game we started to play better baseball and keep a small distance between Cleveland , young players were brought up and life in baseball started getting exciting again with a new chemistry , Lewis is definitely a player to watch and hope the injury subsides , Lewis is more valuable to the team right now than Buxton or maybe even Correa ... I'm sorry I wasn't a believer in the first half , but that all changed in the second half when the team started playing better ball ... Congratulations Twins players on the division title , Tony O and carew are very proud of you ...
  8. Catching is a very important position and it was stated that Jeffers is a better catcher .... I'd have to disagree that Jeffers is the better defensive catcher , hitter yes , but defense no ... Vasquez has the defense covered and if his bat contributes that is a plus ... Jeffers as a pinch hitter later in the game suits me , he has been a good pinch hitter , Vasquez not so much , if you use Vasquez as a pinch hitter later in the game you just wasted his value to the team ... Roster will be what it will be , out of my hands , yes there are players I like and players I don't like , it's FO and roccos decisions for the playoff roster and nobody is happy all the time ... Go Twins, clinch the game tonight at home ....
  9. Great that the marlins and state department could get his parents to come watch Luis play the game he loves .... Luis is a special player that is under appreciated because he doesn't hit the long ball ... I'd still take arraez any day to be in the twins line up , he was a fan favorite in Minnesota and now in marlins Territory ... Keep it going Luis ...
  10. The Twins pitching did lock down a good reds lineup .... Castro had two great catches that saved some runs from scoring and he hit a 2 run homer ... A great game for Castro and pitching ... Not so good for royce Lewis as it appears he was injured running to first , let's hope it is not severe !!!

    Royce Lewis: ROY?

A rookie that is carrying a team should be in consideration for ROY regardless of his at bats , Lewis in the lineup has been a game changer .... Injuries have been unfortunate for Lewis but when healthy he has the ability to be a game changer and that is what the voters should take notice in , regardless of 65 games or a full season of game's ......
  12. Batters cold , 5 hits and 1 walk or this pitcher Phillips someday will be a Cy young recipient ( era coming in was over 8 runs per 9 ) ... Ryan wasn't sharp and couldn't locate his pitches , not a good recipe for a win ... Lewis again hits a homerun and just might make 20 and another rbi , still possible for him to have the most rbis and on the team , in just 65 games played ... Kiriloff keeps hitting homers to the opposite field ...
  13. Rest for his plantar fasciitis would probably be useful but his timing at the plate to stay fresh is just as important , give him some rest in the next 9 games ( 3 to 5 games ) but play him for sure the last 3 games of the season so his timing is right for the playoffs ... I'm sure he wants to play every game and has to grin and bare the pain , but for the best for the team and Correa too , he should get some rest ... Be the best in the playoffs that he can ( shine baby shine ) ... I was out of town for the Chicago series and I know he had 2 days off , how did he fair the next game he played after the 2 days of rest ???
  14. I almost agreed with all you said except the first half of games were almost unwatchable ,,, The second half with rookies Lewis , Julien, wallner and veteran Polanco and the additions you mentioned have rejuvenated the Twins, also can't ignore veteran Kepler ...
  15. As a team , they have not been missing Buxton and definitely are not missing Gallo...
  16. The twins have been playing alot better since the Allstar game ... It doesn't matter who we face in the playoffs , just stay focused and play the game and ( the bats come through ) see what happens ...
  17. No one is worse , even sano was a bit better and he was not tendered a 2023 contract ...
  18. Missed almost all of this series , out-of-town ... Catching up on the series ... Nice taking 3 of 4 from white Sox .. Lopez had 1 bad inning and it looks like it cost us , winder allowed the game to get out of reach , Twins mounted a comeback but fell a run short ... Now to today , looks like Sonny pitched a gem , I got into town and tuned into the radio for top of ninth with pagan pitching ( oh boy I said ) , he gave up 2 base runners and had the tying run on deck but managed to get through the inning unscathed and preserving the shutout ( thank goodness ) .... We now go to Cincinnati who are also playing for a playoff spot , get ready to see some of our traded away prospects ... I'm hoping for some good solid baseball games , win or lose it should give us some good games ( kind of a playoff type series ) to watch , we'll see which team is the most focus ...
  19. We are beating up on a team we should , yippee ... Chicago is a lost cause .... Lewis is the man , a game changer ...
  20. What took you so long , 2019 playoffs moved me way over the edge and yes He seems to be always out managed ... No real answer , we are stuck with him until FO is relieved with a pink slip ... I have never been a fan of Rocco ...
  21. Castro ... For someone who wasn't expected to make the opening day roster , Castro has revitalized his career with the Twins ... Nice win tonight , thanks Willie ...
  22. Solo homeruns aren't usually a game changer but Julien tagged that one for first blood ... Twins up 1-0 ...
  23. Pete and re-pete say keep him and re-sign as future depth ... He's very valuable to the lineup , has been a solid and team player ... What more do you ask of a player , he'll hold together for a few more years ... Let him retire a twin ... when healthy he doesn't hurt the team ... Onw last thing to mention ... If the team FO doesn't pick up his option it will say alot about how they definitely take advantage of players ...
