    Week in review , 4 and 3 road and home the past week ... Gardenhire and Kelly used to say the team is only as good as the players the GM gives them to manage ... Rocco says the players have skills , I guess your only as good as the manager manages ... Rocco's team in 2019 holds the record for most homeruns in a season at 307 , Rocco must like records cause his team is on pace to set a new one with strikeouts ... Currently the lowest twins batting average in twins history ...

    Can't hit on all #1 's , but they really missed on Sabato ... # 2 has talent and is trying ... # 4 is Raya and because of his small stature I think they might be grooming him for a 3 inning long relief roll , he may be injury prone and not enough stamina to be a starter , that's the way I see it because I don't think he has pitched more than three innings in any start and has pitched well since drafted ... # 5 Rosario is building a resume for a shot at the show ... The twins also signed a bunch of undrafted players in 2020 , that would be an interesting article to write about , WHO HAS HAD THE MOST SUCCESS from the pool of undrafted 2020 prospects ...

    It's disturbing when I read articles about past twins able to succeed in another organization ... Every team needs pitching and you never have enough pitching so the saying goes ... Ryan used to hang onto pitching a little to long , where our FO of the present seem to let them go to early , except for Duffy ,,, Littel , Anderson , presley and more ,,, It's always nice to see former twins in an Allstars but you wonder why they weren't Allstars with our team , makes you wonder about our philosophy of baseball and our decision makers ...

    The affiliates did better today than yesterday , that is good ... Looks like Lee got the day off but did pinch hit with a walk ... Zebby and Cory Lewis seem to be pitchers to watch along with enlow and I haven't heard much on balazovic ( Blaze) , is he injured ???

    I usually watch golf to take an afternoon nap ... Now I watch the twins on Sunday afternoon and fall asleep , i did wake for the final two innings which were probably the best they performed with the bat's ... Why no pinch hitter for Castro in ninth , oh that's right Rocco would tell us he went with the hot bat ... Kirilloff was going to hit for Garlick but as usual Rocco was one batter to late , Kirilloff right now is our best hitter and a perfect situation to pinch hit for Castro to tie it or win it ... Off track a little , I liked denny green more than Rocco , denny had worse talent and made that talent better players .... Rocco just sits there and tells his good talent to go do the best you can ..

    It's the most logical thing to do , put maeda in the pen and lighten the load on his surgical repaired arm , and make him earn his starter role back , cause I like what the current 5 starters have accomplished ...

    We all wanted him signed ... Live with it ... so sad , too bad ... Hope to see him in centerfield some day again and I'm hoping it's not the last game he plays for one batter and then retires ...

    He was awful playing injured last year and hampered his hitting ... He may have changed his approach in batting to compromise his injury and it has effected his swing , maybe he should look at past videos of himself hitting good and videos of him hitting today ....

    Not upset at the signing for a defensive catcher over the winter .... His defense is his calling card and whatever his hitting is and hopefully better will be butter on the toast .... It's a demanding position and we'll have to wait it out to judge later who was the better catcher at the end of the season ...

    I like it , ( im on board with hail drago ) , after 4 months in the league I knew arreaz was a major leaguer so I nicknamed him major leaguer , usually i take three years to evaluate a player tobknow exactly what that player will be , but in arraez's case I knew he was special ,,, he bat's like Gwynn and hits like Carew ...

    Nice pitched game , Ober please stay healthy your needed in the rotation ... Hitters , 6 hits , 3 walks but only 7 strikeouts , 1 run is all we needed and Polanco delivered ... Pitching does win games ... Winning streak of 3 , let's go for 10 or more ...

    2 month's in and it's a disappointment, it's not great baseball but it should get better , one can hope ... We'll have this same discussion probably around the deadline and at the end of the season ... It's the vets that are a disappointment to me as the rookies or younger players are performing better ... When they signed Gallo , I said he is just another Sano only he bat's lefthanded , he swings at everything outside and just like Sano strikes out .... When we needed right handed bat's we sign a lefty so FO is also a disappointment to ... Has anyone or has the media seen the wiz kids during this win one game lose one game plan of baseball ... No , always in hiding when things don't go the way they want , no accountability , but get a ten game winning streak and they can't wait to jump in front of the camera for the credit ...

    Lewis and mathews , Lewis with that knuckler and I liked how you put it , the hitters walked back to the dugout shaking their heads ... 2 to watch from last year's draft ...

    Either go to a six man rotation with maeda or put maeda in long relief and then wait for an injury and go back to 5 man rotation ... Varland right now is to valuable to waste in AAA ...

    it is crucial to find the best position for a player to play when they are in there developmental stages in the minors ... I to have been adamant that they have a player that isn't projected to stay at that position but they continue to play him there and don't move him to another position best suited for him until he gets to the show ... To me that is a plan for disaster with these hitters first prospects , it's the coaches responsibility to develop these prospects and find that defensive positionwhere he can thrive , but what is holding them back ... You can't keep sending these players out there to play 2nd / 3rd or even shortstop and say DO THE BEST YOU CAN ...

    I see no position player voted to the Allstar game , might get one selected as a reserve , sorry just hasn't been any highlights from any of them ... Pitchers , now that is a different story ... gray , Ryan and Duran If they continue to dominate , almost impossible for all 3 to get selected but if the Allstars game is next week I would choose Ryan and Duran and maybe sonny Gray as an alternate by way of an injured player ...

    A winning streak of three ... More hits than strikeouts ... Lewis ties it with a 2 run bomb to center .... Couldn't ask for anything more but we got it with a walk off win

    Finally the hits were falling , hit the ball hard and make things happen ... You don't have to hit homeruns to score runs all the time ... What kind of hitting will show up in the Cleveland series , patience by walks , singles and doubles or back to the big swing for the bleachers ... WE'LL SEE YOU TONIGHT ...

    Everyone was happy the day of the mahle trade but Everyone but the FO had concerns of his history of injury ... As I stated when arreaz ( major leaguer ) got traded that he would get the game winning hit in the bottom of the ninth in the 7th game of a Miami / Minnesota world series ... Now that would haunt the fan base ... We went after pitching and gave up alot but that is exactly how the Yankees do it ...

    Computers are taking over the man's job because they have been real incompetent since they disbanded from 2 leagues of umpires ( American and national league team each had there own umpires ) , dont ask me why they are so inconsistent but MLB never sees to take any accountability for it , they rate them , but sone of the worst umpires are still working ... In my opinion that is the start of bad umpiring , plus I have never heard how often they get their eyes check ... Robbing a pitcher of a no hitter was the worst before instant replay , Jim Joyce I believe ...

    You usually bat your best hitter in the 3 slot to produce ... WHO IS OUR BEST HITTER ? IF LEWIS HITS I WOULD BAT HIM THERE OR ANYWHERE ABOVE , Lewis was batting in the 6 spot yesterday his previous games I'm not sure ( in other words , I forgot ) ...

    I'd have to agree that Correa is slightly turning the corner at the plate , working counts to his favor and getting walks , we need production from him in a big way , timely hitting in clutch situations , but we need that from all the hitters ... We need to hit , run and score pure and simple ... I wish it was that easy to hit a round ball with a round bat but adjustments have to be made , identifying pitches also in order to do it , the strikeouts continue to mount in double digits every game and is inexcusable , 5 or 6 hits or even less is inexcusable ... The starting pitchers have kept us in the game and the hitters have not , they have to start performing better and helping out the pitchers ...
