  1. Rest for his plantar fasciitis would probably be useful but his timing at the plate to stay fresh is just as important , give him some rest in the next 9 games ( 3 to 5 games ) but play him for sure the last 3 games of the season so his timing is right for the playoffs ... I'm sure he wants to play every game and has to grin and bare the pain , but for the best for the team and Correa too , he should get some rest ... Be the best in the playoffs that he can ( shine baby shine ) ... I was out of town for the Chicago series and I know he had 2 days off , how did he fair the next game he played after the 2 days of rest ???
  2. I almost agreed with all you said except the first half of games were almost unwatchable ,,, The second half with rookies Lewis , Julien, wallner and veteran Polanco and the additions you mentioned have rejuvenated the Twins, also can't ignore veteran Kepler ...
  3. As a team , they have not been missing Buxton and definitely are not missing Gallo...
  4. The twins have been playing alot better since the Allstar game ... It doesn't matter who we face in the playoffs , just stay focused and play the game and ( the bats come through ) see what happens ...
  5. No one is worse , even sano was a bit better and he was not tendered a 2023 contract ...
  6. Missed almost all of this series , out-of-town ... Catching up on the series ... Nice taking 3 of 4 from white Sox .. Lopez had 1 bad inning and it looks like it cost us , winder allowed the game to get out of reach , Twins mounted a comeback but fell a run short ... Now to today , looks like Sonny pitched a gem , I got into town and tuned into the radio for top of ninth with pagan pitching ( oh boy I said ) , he gave up 2 base runners and had the tying run on deck but managed to get through the inning unscathed and preserving the shutout ( thank goodness ) .... We now go to Cincinnati who are also playing for a playoff spot , get ready to see some of our traded away prospects ... I'm hoping for some good solid baseball games , win or lose it should give us some good games ( kind of a playoff type series ) to watch , we'll see which team is the most focus ...
  7. We are beating up on a team we should , yippee ... Chicago is a lost cause .... Lewis is the man , a game changer ...
  8. What took you so long , 2019 playoffs moved me way over the edge and yes He seems to be always out managed ... No real answer , we are stuck with him until FO is relieved with a pink slip ... I have never been a fan of Rocco ...
  9. Castro ... For someone who wasn't expected to make the opening day roster , Castro has revitalized his career with the Twins ... Nice win tonight , thanks Willie ...
  10. Solo homeruns aren't usually a game changer but Julien tagged that one for first blood ... Twins up 1-0 ...
  11. Pete and re-pete say keep him and re-sign as future depth ... He's very valuable to the lineup , has been a solid and team player ... What more do you ask of a player , he'll hold together for a few more years ... Let him retire a twin ... when healthy he doesn't hurt the team ... Onw last thing to mention ... If the team FO doesn't pick up his option it will say alot about how they definitely take advantage of players ...
  12. School is open ... But I get your point ...
  13. I turned it off on TV but kept listening on radio ... I think the wise thing to do is to keep listening on the radio and throw the TV away ...
  14. Will Lewis catch the rbi lead by end of season
  15. Twins can't control who they play in the playoffs , a plus though is that we host at home .... Sure glad we aren't facing Kansas city royals , they'd sweep us , lol ...
  16. His control is what to keep an eye on , difficult for a pitcher coming back from TJ surgery to have good control , but paddock might be an exception and relief might be perfect for him to finish out the 2023 season . If he can return to form and not give up homeruns and walks , I say give him a shot on the roster , he has more experience than , sands , winder or Headrick ...
  17. It was a good week , entertaining baseball ... Royce Lewis is leading the youngsters ... Jorge Polanco is leading the veterans ... We need Polanco in the lineup , but we will miss him this week as he went on the bereavement list and returned home ...
  18. Great pitching from Lopez , the loss hurts cause this was a winnable game .... If this was a playoff game and we lost 2-0 , I'd take it if the twins had better results at the plate , 9 strikeouts , 6 walks but 4 hits , now if they had possibly had 8 hits with 6 walks maybe we could have scored or not but it would have been a better game , got to take advantage of opportunities ... I've said this a zillion times ,,, if Jax is on his game he pitches less than 15 pitches in the inning and gets 3 outs , you will know within the 3 batters , Jax pitched to 6 batters and threw 24 pitches ,,, Why Rocco ? , why ??? ... This has happened quite a few times this year where Rocco leaves Jax in the whole inning , he only needs to pitch to 3 batters , I like captn Jax but get him out of there when you know he's not on his game ,,, not all was his fault today though , wallner gifted a hit , Jax hit a batter and the rest is history
  19. There goes a winning streak , Damn good game By lopez
