    From what I heard ,,, Twins got 6 million cash plus 4 players in Polanco trade ... Topa had a strong year with Seattle in 2023 , bullpen arm , desclafini will be the fifth starter and the two prospects must prosper in the minor leagues to make the show some day ... Going to miss Polanco and I wish him well in Seattle ...

    Lewis has shown he is a game changer when healthy ... If he continues playing at a high level , he's worth locking up for the Twins ... They gave Buxton 7 years and 100 million plus incentives and he was well known for injures and has played over a 100 games only once ... Give Lewis a 7 year contract at 100 million plus incentives , I think he will surpass playing over 100 games each year even with some injuries , unless he blows the knee out again ... Play him at 3rd base and watch him be an allstar for years ...

    I have alot of respect for Terry Ryan , he put together some good teams that won divisions ... He also put together some awful teams , but he wasn't allotted the kind of spending the current front office has been approved to spend ... Ryan is a good baseball man ... Congratulations ...

    I would like to believe the Twins will cruise to the division title but it never seems they can cruise .... Playing game to game with no killer instincts ( tomorrow's another day) , your just a 500 team ... Ten game winning streaks and we will capitalize on cruising to the division , otherwise it will be as usual , fans will be asking themselves , can the Twins maintain their 3 of 4 game lead in the month of September to win the division ... I sure hope we find some quality pitching , ( starters and relief ) , our starters are our big winners in 2023 , if it wasn't for them keeping us in the games , Detroit would have won the division with a losing record ... Until the Twins bats woke up after that Atlanta series , it definitely was looking like someone was going to win the Central in 2023 with a losing record ... I'm all for the winning streaks as that separates teams from the other in the standings , I prefer 10 game winning streaks , but you can't always get what you want ...

    Just like Jeffers small sample size in his rookie 2020 , fans got all excited that Jeffers was the answer , he hit but wasn't good defensively and then injured ... 21 and 2022 wasn't better, he was a good framer but blocking wild pitched and passed balls and throwing out runners wasn't his specialty , I can't really say his hitting regressed from 2020 , because it was a small sample size , hecwas struck withinjuries again in 2021 and 2022 ... 2023 was a better season for Jeffers as he was better defensively at throwing out runners and blocking pitches , his hitting was a plus from a catchers position ... I need 1 more healthy year from Jeffers to evaluate if he will be an above average catcher to actually say he has broken out , he has improved but consistency is what we are looking for ... It's a demanding and a very important position as the leader on the field ... Vazquez should improve his hitting some , shouldn't be worse , his acclamation to the team could have contributed to his lack of offense ... Someone At Twins fest should ask Rocco or the FO personal , why was Vazquez not used in the playoffs , I'm out of town ...

    Two k-kings get minor league contracts ... Sano with angels .... Gallo With nationals ... Gallo coming to the end of his career most likely , but who knows he just might rejuvenate his career in the national league ... Sano , who knows what adjustments He has made since last playing in the MLB , its low cost to find out ... Good luck to both ... It could happen ...

    Joe's already came and went ... It's let's go voters ... It's a good possibility he gets elected , I will be surprised if he gets in on first ballot because I didn't think it would Happen , because it's the minnesota twins ... It appears he had alot of respect nation wide from media and fans from the votes that are tabulated already ...

    Calvin firing the manager after that spectacular season ... I was a youngster but the adults were furious that Calvin fired Martin , it was a fun year and they gelled with Martin's winning personality ... Never have I witness fans being so upset about a manager getting fired ... Well 3 grear seasons to go , isn't hard to figure out the next 3 , I just won't give nothing away at this moment ...

    19 years in the big leagues , he had a good career , players and media around the league liked him ... I hope he goes the distance and remains on the ballot for 10 years , I doubt he will ever get the necessary 75 percent to get elected ... But at least for the 10 years we can say he was a minnesota twin ... Tori played a good game ...

    Joe Ryan went to driveline during the off season before the 2023 season , he had a very good start to the season before the injury bug got him ... Did Ryan go back to driveline this off season ??? I heard mention that he did but not sure it was confirmed ...

    I was going to state that also but I've stated it so many times we need an owner that loves and wants to win games ... This ownership should sell because they can't keep up with the Joneses They could get nearly 2 billion for a team they paidsaround 45 million ... The Timberwolves wolves sold for what 1.6 billion and they were only valued at 1.2 billion , I feel the Twins are worth more than the Timberwolves sold for ...

    There is currently 38 players on the 40 man roster , yes there is still room but when the addition come is anyones guess ??? FO should have started working on trades way back in general managers meeting and at the winter meetings ... I'm sure they did , but waiting for other teams to decide and figure out what they need from the Twins ... Hate that the owners of all the effected teams are crying about the lost revenue ... I was in business , I lived by this quote ... You Can't Make Money All of the Time But You Better Make Money Most Of The Time .... Now is the time to lose money during the regular season and make it back in a deep run off the playoffs and world series appearance ...

    Someone please tell Louie varland to be less rude an kinder to the seniors citizens at spring training ... Last year I notice some senior citizens talking to players and Louie came over and yelled at them and I quote ( we dont come to your place of work and interrupt you , do we ) , little immature , yes he's got a job to get ready for but he also has an obligation to treat the fans with respect , all the seniors were doing was congratulating some younger players and wishing them well ... I'm sure others saw and heard it to , I was 5 rows back of the field and I heard it ... I talked to the seniors and they said they were done coming to spring training if some players were going to be rude to them , i remember eddie Rosario was rude to the fans back in 2017 or 18 ... I like Varland and his hard work he has put in to his craft , I hope he isn't belligerent to the young fans and he can clean up his act and be kind to all fans ...

    How I look at it , the starting pitching trade market has stalled for all the other 29 teams ... Our front office hasn't even started to replace our strengths from last years lost starters ( this should be their priority ) ... subtract, subtract and subtract to save a buck ... Starting pitchers won the season last year for us with the lineup helping in the last half of the season ... Everyone needs pitching and teams are signing alot of depth arms to minor league contracts , but no significant trades have been made recently ...

    Acala , Balazovic , Sands and Winder .... Once upon a time in Winder's rookie year I liked what i saw , spot starting and relief , what happened , has he lost his confidence , because he had confidence in his rookie year ... Sands has been a decent AAA pitcher but sitting him in the bullpen and not using him regularly on the MLB club , no wonder his walk rate is high ... Blazovic was once a promising pitching prospect , then he lost everything between the ears ... Acala has shown he cannot stay healthy but probably has the best stuff of this group of 4 ... We need someone of the 4 to step up and EARN the roster spot in the bullpen , SOMEONE has to be awfully hungry , LET the competition begin ...

    Or maybe it's time to see if Duran can be that number 2 starter , Duran was a starter in the minors with no experience as a reliever , but injuries derailed his minor leagues as a starter and he made the team as a reliever in 2022 out of spring training ... Just a thought ...

    Just like yesterday I stated I like Vazquez defense better ... I think they both will split the 162 game schedule ... Still not sure what to expect from Jeffers year to year , he has shown some improvement and potential , but this year might be the deciding evaluating year to really know what type of player he will be for his career ... Vazquez should be better at the plate than last year , can't be any worse ...

    Catcher is important position for a team , they are the leader on the field ( or at least they used to be ) ... I'll take Vazquez defense over Ryan , and any hitting Vazquez does Is a plus , he shouldn't be any worse than last years batting average ... New team and adjustments might have been a factor for Vazquez in my opinion and Twins fans might just be praising Vazquez if he does take a step forward in 2024 ... Jeffers is an average catcher , and maybe above average hitter , this year we'll see the real evaluation of Jeffers and what he will be in his career ....

    Correa won't hit 500 homers or maybe not 3000 hits , but ... Correa is a good defensive shortstop with a cannon arm ... On offense he needs to pick up more rbis , runs scored per year , be a clutch hitter and lead the team , he's a good teammate and most players respect him except the dodgers ... everyone says you start to decline at a certain age , but there are exceptions that some players just continue on pace , who knows maybe he'll start hitting 200 hits per year ... If he can win mvps , allstar selections , gold gloves that will help his status for the hall of fame ... In any case if he hits around 280 and plays great defense for his career he will be considered for the HOF ...
