    to early to say on trade value ... Martin was doing well in 2021 and finished well with the twins , then the team asked him to change his style of hitting for power and he wasn't the same player he once was until later in the season he converted back to his regular style of Hitting in AA and in the AZFL , now 2022 he has had multiple injuries and his season is just beginning , yes the twins staff has been slow at finding him a position other than at shortstop ( another head scratcher from the coaching ) ... If there is blame on lack of production with Martin it is on the front office ... Pitcher SWR Richardson was the other player in the trade and was an Olympian at the time of the trade , he was in AA but did not pitch much after the trade in 2021 , 2022 he was a solid starting pitcher in AA and moved up to AAA and had a 1 solid start at the end of 2022 with the twins ... what has happened to him this year as he has regressed , is he injured , maybe ? , did he not do the proper training during the offseason to stay in shape , maybe ? , was he rushed to the major leagues or have the coaching been responsible for his ugly numbers in 2022 , could be ? .... SWR is young and there could be a future , Martin has the remainder of the season to show us his hitting style is for real and then back to the AZFL and be ready for spring training .... Wouldn't hurt if the front office paid for both players to go to DRIVELINE and get their confidence and listen to other voices of opinions , because it just might be the plan the twins have just might of screwed up their heads alittle ....

    Yes I'm excited we won and that we are 1 game over the pathetic 500 mark .... Maeda went 7 innings and 9 strikeouts ,,, that's a good game , but it's also the Kansas city royals ... Yes we got hits and homers but again it's the Kansas city royals and greinke at the end of his career ... We are supposed to beat these teams , and we do beat the Kansas city royals but we can't beat the rest of the sub 500 teams out there ... Sweep Kansas city tomorrow and win the series against Baltimore and then maybe we can relax some , but consistency is what we need ... Sure would like for the twins player's to go get a killer instinct and playball hard ... I want a 10 game winning streak or more , even several winning streaks would be nice ...

    When they signed Gallo I was not sure why , they just paid off Sano to go away ... My thoughts were all Gallo is is a left handed Sano with better defense , and that still rings between the ears ... Sano has no mlb or minor league job , Gallo is lucky to be employed in mlb baseball , I would have preferred a younger player taking his roster spot ... It was a gamble and so far twins are on the losing end of it ... Gallo has never been a clutch hitter , around 200 homers with around 400 rbi's in his career is not very productive ... He does strikeout well and strikeouts must be contagious because all the hitters on the team are projected to have a career percentage of strikeouts ... Not money well spent but who knows what the second is in store for him , find a taker at the dealine and package pagan with him please ...

    Correa with a 4 hit night , if he can be the spark leading off the game , so be it ... I also said the same thing about the pinch hitting , was nice to see they got 2 hits in 3ctries with a pinch hitter , Julien ignited the eighth with a blast , the ball off the bat was loud and I knew it was a homerun by the sound ... Good game , only 1 homer so the others runs came by walks , singles , doubles and some stolen bases and a uncharacteristic bunt in the eighth that scored a run , strikeouts were down so contact was made as the twins had 14 hits for their efforts ... We need games like tonight on a consistent basis , still would like a 10 game winning streak before I get to serious ...

    They will just have to wait it out for their chance ... Right now let's see how this homestand goes , if it gets ugly then don't wait till deadline to make the changes necessary , do it during the break ....

    I was thinking the same thing , it should be a wake up call for the players to do better , if they aren't chosen it's for a reason ... Can't knock the starting pitchers this year , which by the way is going to waste unless the hitters perform consistently day to day ... Attendance is dwindling at target field , wonder what Attendance at twins fest will be next January and even Attendance at spring training .... If Attendance is dwindling it should tell the owners something , the fans don't enjoy the FO 's interpretation of baseball ... I hope the owners don't wait that long ( spring training ) to realize we have a total system failure and fans lack of interest ... Total system failure when we can't even get players voted in ,, I don't know if any of our players were in the top 5 of any position for voting as i dont follow the Allstar game or its voting like i used to...

    Okay , I'll call you skeptical Nick ... We all are skeptical and we are all tired of it ... 2021 we were terrible with bad pitching , 2022 wasn't much better on pitching but they blame the season on injuries and depth mostly , 2023 they really improved the pitching and depth but now this set of skilled players cannot make contact ... I think we should change the name from week in review TO week in reverse cause I just don't see any forward progress

    Since when does the season start MID SEASON ... As posted by another member , he is not a leader of men and I totally agree , his first season as manager was 2019 , the players made his job easy by having career years and out hitting the Yankees 307 to 306 homeruns in a juiced ball season and then he wins the manager of the year based on the players career years , not by a managing aspect , to me it wasn't deserved because there was no evidence that Rocco was a good manager ( cash or Boone) deserved it more because they managed and rocco sat back and watched the career years the players had ,,, evidence was in the playoffs in 2019 and in 2020 , he was definitely out managed and has been since his arrival ... I have never seen a manager lose so many games during the season , the manager needs to make adjustments as well as the players , take the talent you have and tap into that talent and make that talent a better player ( it can be done , we have the technology , we just dont have the coaching to help the players make these adjustments ) ,,, Rocco says that players need to be ready to play and that No batting practice or fielding practice , no baserunning practice or fundamentals of the game are demanded unless the player feels he needs it , Rocco needs to use his eye test and help a player that needs the help or your going watch that player regress ... HOW MUCH BETTER WOULD THIS TEAM BE IF THEY WERE TO PRACTICE , hitting , fielding , base running , fundamentals on a daily bases .. PRETTY SOON THOSE SPREAD SHEETS ARE GOING TO BE WORTHLESS because of players lack of performance as they regress ... Yes every season is different with different sets of players each year , but the manager remains the same and the results will be the same because Rocco isn't making the adjustments either ... A manager can be a good teacher ( Kelly for one , he and his coaches took players and made them better players ) ... This isn't all on Rocco either , the FO also has to make adjustments to their flawed interpretation of baseball ...

    Yes it's definitely a snub ... But a logical snub ... Baltimore is playing well and twins are not , so the Baltimore players are the chosen ones , Jansen and Rooker are their Lone representatives as is Sonny Gray ... I could see Duran as more of a logical choice over Gray as Duran is a very dominant pitcher ... The best players don't always get voted in or chosen ....

    None yet but if Lewis has another good month he should be , let's reward these players and move them alittle faster , there working hard and performing good they don't want to play in the minors ...

    Keep testing Lewis, promote to AA ,,,, Something tells me he just might be special .... If they work hard , the incentive is they get promoted if he has another month like June ... Other teams promote faster than the twins ...

    .it's time to start trusting our prospects , Funderburk has pitched well in AA and AAA , he just won pitcher of the month , promote our prospects on the incentive plan , you work hard and do well you get to the show ... Even if the pitcher is from AA he could possibly be an option for the show , let's see what we have cause I always here that teams need pitching , pitching and more pitching or you can never have to much pitching .... Twins just never have enough pitching and FO doesn't trust our prospects and always let's the dumpster diving pitcher get the promotion .... Thanks for letting me vent ...

    How to stay positive , it's a question I often ask myself ... It's just impossible to stay positive as we are once again 1 game below 500 ... I will never get my ten game twins winning streak and will have to watch other contending teams get their 10 game winning streak ... This was once again a winnable game but they just don't come up with the clutch hit , the past 3 seasons have not been kind to the twins having clutch hits and I don't see that changing , nor have I seen really much change the past 3 games as the first 81 before the players only meeting ... A wasted pitching performance from Sonny Gray , wasted opportunities to score runs , better contact today as they only struck out 6 times and 4 or 5 of those strikeouts came after the seventh inning , 3 strikeouts in the top of the ninth , 2 by pinch hitters .... I expect the twins to have a winning homestand before the Allstar game , and if the players haven't fixed it with their players meeting on hitting , than it's time for changes to roster and coaching and then be sellers at deadline ... This is just not acceptable twins baseball and if you listen to Rocco pre game or post games chats and believe anything Rocco says. Then I congratulate you because it is a bunch of crock .... Has anyone seen or heard anything from the FO , or are they keeping quite and in hiding ...

    A good old fashioned 1 to 0 shutout ... Nice win and a great pitching effort by OBER , Jax and Duran ... Now not trying to be negative but just stating the facts , Again only run mustered was by a homer , when are they going to start manufacturing runs ... I listened on radio as much as I could and hitters just managed 2 walks and 7 hits , with 12 strikeouts , I couldn't see if the hitters were making adjustments or not , Buxton scolded some balls that were caught ... Have they really turned the corner on the new season from the players meeting only ... We need to see some fire 🔥 and continue to win with hits , steals , hit and run , hit behind the runner and move them up , boy , doubles would be nice too , the numbers are way down on doubles as they continue to see the runs scored by way of the homerun ... SURE GLAD GALLO CONNECTED ON THAT HOMER AND THE TWINS WON WITH A GREAT EFFORT FROM 3 PITCHERS ...

    Thanks Seth ... Enlow's pitching has been good this year except control still might have aways to go , he can get hitters out , he most likely will be protected from the rule 5 draft and might even get a look in September with the twins ... Every team needs pitching ... Wallner keeps hitting so he is consistent in AAA Has his defense improved ???

    A good win for sure ... Give me a winning streak and I'll be convinced something has changed in their hitting approach , 6 runs scored via of the homerun is the norm , the 3 and 2 run Homer's were not , good to see clutch hitting and hitting the pitch where it's pitched to the opposite field will do wonders .... Keeping focused and adjustments is the key ... Get hungry and win twins ...

    It was that trouble make Blyleven2011 that suggested maybe possible that we could have offered someone else like Kepler, Larnach , Julien and wallner instead of Arraez ... Been interesting following you and Sixel on this summary ... Happy fourth of July ...

    I'm sure Steer is happy with the trade to Cincinnati as he was blocked here in Minnesota ... I don't think wallner is blocked for his position , he deserves the opportunity to be on the 26 man roster with his hitting , I just hope his defense has and will improve ...

    I think we have to face the facts , we are already out of it ... But there is a glimer of hope if changes are made that haven't been made ... Why did Rocco wait until we dropped out of first place to address the team , slow at changes ... Players should play hard from day one and beware that there job is in jeopardy , with the money they make I just don't see the players today making the right adjustments to play at this level ... We have talent , just not elite talent ...
