Twins DJ's needs some Carmen, 1812 Overture,, Who is our Timmy Lupus, Ogilvee, Stein, Englebert, Ahmed Abdul Raherm, Kelly Leek, the Auguilar brothers, Amanda Wurlitzer, as the Ace pitcher.  CUPS and Supporters gotta be worn at all times. Why don't you do the league a favor and just drop out. Well well well isn't it Englepuke.  Rocco as Morris Buttermaker. I don't know after yesterday you just have to hate where MLB is going. We could use a Kelly Leeks on the mound. If your gonna be on the Titanic might as well go out and Streak the quad.

One trade addition brought up.  No pitchers, not even at the expense of Erasmo "I'm 35 and my ERA is approaching 7 at AAA" Ramirez

So much for "adding players who can help now" (quoted directly from Falvey's love letter to the fans)

Right?  Like outside of the guys in A ball, bring them up.  Lets see what is there for the next 2 months.

What's the worse that could happen?  Another fire sale in 5 years when they don't want to pay the super 2 guys?  But yeah, lets take more looks at Mickey Gasper, Noah Davis, Jose Urena and Erasmo Ramirez.

Not that it matters but kind of notable that Lewis and Wallner are still batting just 5th and 6th with 3 guys fresh from AAA in the lineup.

Also curious to see what the lineup against lefties is going to be with so many left handed bats on the roster now.  Looks like we'll see it on Sunday, but they'll miss Skubal next week.  Feel like there would have been a good chance for him to no hit the Buxton-less lineup.

Could our results against Skubal be any less effective than the previous time..

I checked this morning and it said Outman had Yet To Report.

..and able to get to Cleveland tonight.  Some of the guys like Taj Bradley that we traded for would have found out yesterday afternoon.  Their lives are also in a state of chaos.  Expecting them to drop everything, hop a plane, and get to Cleveland with no notice may not be realistic.  I'd guess we will see Bradley with the Twins before too long.

And yet Paddack pitched two days after he was traded.

So, about the level of chaos we expected, looking over the current active roster...

At least the equipment manager had enough respect for the recently departed not to reissue any of the new guys number 4 or 22 or 59 or any of the other familiar numbers from 2025.

Roden got 19, Kirilloff's old number.  Hopefully it doesn't come with Kirilloff's health problems.

So.. the Jays have Ty France as DH tonight..

I kind of feel sorry for Rocco but he had a big hand in the making of this.

Imagine you are Jeffers, Lee, Lewis, larnach and Wallner and now that the team was gutted, you are left with 2 months of this mess. Has to suck for those guys as well as the fans trying to support them and the rest of the team.  They have to be pissed off

Sucking is working in a tavern kitchen with slippery floors and no AC.

They're 'disappointed' I'm sure.

Huh... day off for Larnach against a rhp.

Maybe he got traded or released or lost in the airport and I missed it in the flurry of moves.

Or maybe Rocco planned this as a day off for him back in March.

He got traded to the Expos in Falvey's haste.  The paperwork is brutal these days.

Imagine you are Jeffers, Lee, Lewis, larnach and Wallner -  they are all just as responsible as everyone traded as are Falvey and Rocco--   should be lucky to even be here ,  Maybe WAKES em up -- hope so

Especially for Vasquez, knowing that the Twins would've given him away for a can of beans if there was even one other team that wanted him

Someone asked on another thread if I thought there would be a 40 man crunch in the off season, given all the guys that could go.....well, at some point they need to add 7 relief pitchers (or SP) to the 40 man to actually field a team next year, so, yes, I think trading for a bunch of guys that need to be on the 40 man was one of several mistakes.

We have to do better than equating people to scrap. Ramirez and Urena have fought hard to be in the majors. They have stuck through it moving their families so many times. They have fought through injuries to continue to pursue this dream. I hope they seize this opportunity.

I’m open to suggestions. One is a 35 year old with an ERA above 6 in St Paul. The other is on his 4th MLB team this year.

Maybe he has decided to flee the country rather than join the Twins.

In both the winners and their own special category of losers list.

Clemens is a very good writer.  The whole thing is worth a read, but that's one hell of a closing paragaph:

"Who cares? What’s the point? The social contract between teams and fans – we’ll sell a little bit today because we want to be more entertaining tomorrow – feels broken when the club offloads everything, everywhere, all at once. That’s especially true for the Twins, who were expected to contend for a playoff spot this season. Instead, they tore it all down, and getting rid of Correa was the fatal blow. Was it a good trade from a business perspective? It’s surely neither all that good, nor all that bad. But the better question is, who cares if it’s good or bad when the message it sends is objectively terrible? You don’t execute this kind of sell-off if you’re planning to turn around and compete next year. I grimaced as the deals kept flowing in, and I’m morbidly curious to watch the atmosphere at Twins games the rest of the way. We haven’t seen a complete capitulation like this in a long time."
