Arrrrrgggggh Guys are just taught to look for a pitch and then swing their swing. It's not just the Twins. I guess Larnach wasn't looking for a fastball, so he let it go. Even with two strikes, and the game on the line. I still can't get my mind around this type of hitting approach. (don't know for sure that's what happened, just a guess) Edited June 22, 2025 by Hosken Bombo Disco Richie the Rally Goat, OvertheHill, USAFChief and 2 others 5

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 If you are looking for a fastball, and see a late break, you should be able to adjust your swing and try to get a piece of it. Not what guys are taught to do anymore :( RpR 1

NYCTK Verified Member Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 I admit I laughed heartily watching Larnach watch a fastball down the middle. He's a two pitch pitcher, how are you that lost? Parfigliano and Richie the Rally Goat 2

Sjoski Verified Member Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 This game revealed another classic Falvey blunder: Falvey's strength was suppose to be his ability to spot good pitching. Traded Trevor Megill to Milwaukee for a "player to be named later"... and eventually got Taylor Floyd, a fringe reliever who’s now in Double-A for the Mariners after being poached in the minor league Rule 5 draft. Meanwhile, Megill’s throwing 99 in high-leverage spots for the Brewers. Add it to the growing list of giveaways that somehow always manage to make the other team better. Falvey's Trade Motto You win some, you lose most. Aggies7, Parfigliano, Vanimal46 and 3 others 5 1

Hubie29 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 I'm thinking a sweep at the hands of the Seattle SeaDogs will mean the end of the Baldelli era? That would make it 1 and 13 in the last 14 games. Let's go Seattle! Blyleven2011 and Doc Lenz 1 1
