I'm hoping Brooks Lee can get a hit this inning.  We all need something to smile about.

The cherry fell off

Twins perspective is the can't beat good pitchers or anything below good pitching ...

when you face Cy Young, Walter Johnson, Sandy Kofax and Grover Cleveland Alexander in succession your offense is going to struggle a bit.

The game got away from us for a while but there's another game tomorrow. We have to play 162 and can't give 100% every game.........

Will Rocco have a job after the Tigers series?

Really… do you honestly believe this organization has  the balls to remove Rocco?

Now, maybe, just maybe, Baldelli is getting real heat from those above him.

I want to believe that but isn’t he signed/getting paid through next season?

I wouldn't call any lefty that can channel the Ghost of Jamie Moyer through an Ouija board in the same breath as the pitchers you just named above.  See Patrick Corbin, Colton Gordon, Brandon Walter, Abbott, and Nick Lodolo.  Those are just the lefties we have faced in the last two weeks and each of them have embarrassed us.

I will give Rocco a rare compliment amongst all of the bad play this past week.  Whether he was forced by a battered bullpen or not, he actually let SWR go a third time through the order and SWR responded with his best pitching of the afternoon in that spot.  He gave what I would call a back end of the rotation quality start, 6 IP and 3-4 runs, essentially kept us in the game.  Unfortunately, the offense thought it was just too hot out there to stand on those bases and didn't help him out.

It's past time that this team had a closed-door meeting.  Start yelling, shouting, breaking things, and fighting.  Apathy is not acceptable for this proud organization.  The Pohlad family needs to sell the team so we can all move on.  Clearly, something major is broken here.

I think all us fans agree. It's way beyond a few slumping players. And honestly, a coaching shake up isn't gonna do much. Falvey & Rocco should issue an ultimatum: all position players who's OPS and WAR is more than 10% below average for their position have three weeks to show substantial improvement, otherwise they will be demoted or released. Enough is enough.

I did not see the game, but yesterday, Baldelli was genuinely upset after the game.

Did any one see his reaction after todays game?

I saw him on the news for about 5 seconds. I had to turn it. Can't stand listening to him. He seemed to have a gee golly darn attitude.

it's on youtube. Same old same old"we have some things to work on."

Spring training is over. 1/3 of the season is over.

The Brewers made the twins like little league layers on the field.

Fitting end.  Swing miss strike 3.  Don't run to 1st.   Walk back to dugout.

Describes the team in one AB.

They take their cue from the dugout. No sense of urgency. No accountability.

The front office didn't do Rocco any favors with this roster.

But, I've watching the Twins since 1986. I've seen far less talented teams play hard and play fundamentally sound baseball. This group doesn't even try to do it. And that is on the manager.

Firing Rocco isn't a cure all, but it should have happened already and they're delaying the inevitable.
