Duran needs to pitch the ninth in a save situation, that is a mindset.  Rocco has to quit overthinking everything, Ober should have stayed out there anyway.

I also would have kept Ober in the game longer, but if Duran can't get the likes of Fermin, Grossman, and Isbel out then we have major problems. Er, more major problems. Duran falling behind Alcala on the high leverage totem pole would be something.

At what point is it on the player for not performing? Rocco used his two best relievers and they gave up 4 hits and a HBP to the 6 to 2 hitters in the lineup. Even if Ober goes the 8th, the 9th is still likely to be blown.
