I understand wanting to get the games in, but going from a rainout rescheduled to a day where they are more or less telling people to be careful and stay inside due to the extreme weather doesn't exactly seem 'fair'.

Tough choices for the local team. Yesterday was one of those days where it could have been raining almost at any time, but there were times when it wasn't raining. Today isn't going to be a beautiful day by any means but there are less times when it will be raining.

The A's only come to town once (that's the way it is for everyone outside the AL Central). If they don't make up the game today, it would be the hassle of finding mutual off days and would mean the A's would have to travel to MN for one day. Just no good answers.

I know they don't do the Minor League trick of making the Twins the 'home team' when they visit Oakland next week.. do they?

There will be a bunch of games like that this week.. in Pittsburgh, Philly, DC..hope nobody else has to 'suffer' through a double header.

Let's sweep the A's right outta town! Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. Have a great day with your families.

Out with the A's in with the Rays. And more rains they say.

If the weather is that oppressive today I could see a Ober/Varland tag team game 1. He's a big fella..

As long as they aren't 300 #ers doing two-a-days, they'll be fine. I don't think pro baseball players have the health conditions of the target audience of those stay-inside-and-be-afraid recommendations.

It's going to be 89º. If we're going to stay inside when it's 89 and humid, might as well never leave the house. Half the country is like this all summer long.

This isn't one of those free YouTube/Facebook/Roku/etc days is it?

Damn cold won't go away so I'm stuck on the couch all weekend. A doubleheader sounds perfect.

Yeah. The heat index warning is legit. But just be smart about it. And that's what the trainers are paid for. The dugout has AC, I bet. It's definitely shaded. The clubhouse definitely does. Target Field is big enough that it gets a breeze at times. It's currently overcast too, which means less intense heat.

Not like it's lightning. At least this is tolerable if not comfortable.

If it’s too hot to play baseball, we might as well pack it in as a country and turn out the lights 😂

Hell, they play day games in Phoenix. 114 in the shade.

Roof closed, of course. AC cranked.

But that walk from the car is Bah-roo-tll.

I remember growing up in a generation when our parents were the "greatest generation"  I'm glad they gave me that work hard to get ahead ethic. Thanks Dad. I think it was Lewis Black who did a bit on water and hydration. Its pretty funny if you want to check it out.

Ober needs to keep the ball in the yard, or it could be all ober.

Hot and humid and windy blowing out. Might be a few HR today.

They say Chase Field AC isn't that much better than AMFam FKA MP. Which is to say. Nil.
