It seems to me the Twins have been seeing more than their share of LHP of late. Two of three lefties vs. Washington, one of three vs. Texas, two of four vs. KC and now one of two (so far) against the Astros. That’s six of the last twelve. Add in pinch hitting as soon as the fifth inning and the young lefties aren’t getting much time at the plate.

Nothing can be done about that. Them's the rules. Must platoon at all costs. Oh well. Rocco's hands are tied.

I can’t wait until the twins make the playoffs and play a 3 game series against a team with 2 lefties and Max Kepler with his .800+ OPS rides the bench both games

Are you thinking regular season lineup construction is similar to postseason lineup construction?

Why wouldn’t it be? Would be pretty irresponsible to never let your lefties hit against lefties because platoon and change it up in the playoffs

theres a reason batting stats are all worse early in the season than later in the season. Players need ABs to get in a groove. If Kepler finishes the season with 35 PAs against lefties he’s not going to play vs lefties even if it’s the WS

Looking forward to another very good start by Ryan, and please...keep...the...ball...in...the...yard. Tough to do in that homer friendly park. GO TWINS!

Why would it be? Would be pretty irresponsible to catch Jeffers 130 games and then he's got no legs for the postseason.

They'll all get some ABs throughout the season and Kepler plays every postseason game. Relax.

What is the Twins pitchers’  ERA in the first inning. It seems like everyone, except for SWR, gives up a disproportionate number of dingers in the first inning.

There's been a bit of that lately where Pablo, Paddack, Ober, get us in an early hole then hang around to pitch into the fifth or sixth inning. Yields a reasonable stat line but the hole isn't always diggable.

Need zero's now Ryan

He's not very efficient.. every batter is seeing seven, eight pitches.

Ryan’s body language doesn’t look right either

It's ok to be uncomfortable in a weird stadium. It's not ok if he's hurt again like last year and trying to push through something.

Our boys seem like they've got a bad vibe going today. They look real flat.
